Keeping coming across this. Very fine translucent layer around edges combined with aerial growth

I get that too the translucent edges is mycelium growth. But sometimes the translucent can grow half the plate before it turns white and healthy looking.

Thanks for your input but I’m pretty sure it’s not Myc.... I have however been wrong before so anyone else got 2c to throw in confirming Kmacs thoughts?

Looking any better? Try looking at them from underneath you'll see all the strands of myc, should look just like normal mycelium just translucent strands

Still troubleshooting if I’m honest.
The reason I’m not convinced it’s myc is I have clean dishes and not a single one exhibits this translucency or aerial myc. Here I have a streak test of an LC who’s original cultures was showing normal growth on one side and one side that looked like the item I’m questioning. Since streak testing I watched tiny satellites of wispiness grow. Today looking at them there is a clear sandwiching of one type of growth surrounded by another type.

So the second image you can see what I’m talking about it’s the largest one on plate to the right but also notice the translucency of the upper and lower satellites. I have also inverted colours to help you establish the clear outline I am seeing.
Let me know what you think! 🤘🏽🤙🏽👌🏽

Since no ones else has chimed in: I do believe that plate has myc on it. I’d bet money on it. It’s just in a cluster fuck of growth. If nothing else, I’d snag a small piece of at least the big guy in the middle, I’d go 12 and 6 o’clock. Somebody on here said, grab what looks interesting. I just did some t-4 yesterday and the difference in growth from transfer to transfer is amazing. I do wish ya luck...👊🏻✌🏻

I don’t see contam. From MS you might get tomentose or rhizo growth (mostly depends on nutes). I have plates that are mostly translucent until they stretch then become rhizo and white on outskirts
