Sure do. I've written out my personal experience with using mushrooms to help treat my depression/bipolar disorder:

Quote:

I've been µdosing for about a year now.
All of it has been on non-PE varieties of cubensis.

It started with, for years prior, almost always taking 1 - 1.5g dose once a week, usually on the weekend. Occasionally a bit more, occasionally a lot more. So, I'd consider this period to be an uncontrolled pseudo-therapeutic method of dosing.
It did improve my depressive/bipolar symptoms, but I still swung in and out of mania/depression when nearing the end of that cycle. So, let's say maybe 3 days of stability, 2 days of minor swings, and 1 day of drastic swings.
Normally, unmedicated, my swings were probably most frequently in the minor range, sometimes stable, and less frequently extreme. I'd say once every quarter year or so I was in dire straits, ready to pull the plug. That period was often when I'd take heavy (10g+) doses. And that levels me out. Not always miraculously overnight, but it gives that new light on the world to help you appreciate things.

Then, about a year ago, I finally decided to try daily µdoses. I started with ~350mg. It was great as long as I was quite active. I work in graphics, so, as long as I was stimulated with work it would simply get me hyper-focused and give me a maintained stamina/energy and, most importantly, it really leveled out my manic/depressive swings... almost unbelievably so. But, if things were slow at work, I'd notice those minor hallucinogenic effects - vibrancy in sound and vision, being scatterbrained, and sometimes getting... jitters, I'd say. Kind of like the physiological aspects of minor anxiety without the psychological distress.

So I dropped down to ~250mg daily. That did me quite well for ~8 months. Same therapeutic advantages with less of the occasional (somewhat) undesired perceptive effects. I don't like anything I take daily to effect my body so much that I feel much different than plain old sober human me.
Which leads me to where I am now. I also don't like to depend on anything but food, water, and shelter. Especially what goes into my body. I've always rejected medication for my bipolar disorder and it's a bit of a task to even get me to take cold medicine or advil.
I cut my frequency of dosing to once every other day. It still gives me the therapeutic benefits and I'm half as dependent - sweet. However, I started to notice, to a lesser degree, some of those undesired perceptive effects if I wasn't actively engaged in something. It's very minor. But, as I said, I like to be as clear-minded as possible.
So, my next step is reducing my dose to ~150mg every other day. I have high hopes.

Anyway, I've spent a year without actively wanting to kill myself. I still have a weird 'sense-of-will' approach to the end of my time in this life, but that's more so in the case of terminal illness or something of the like. It's conscious as opposed to chemically delusional.

I have since dropped to 150mg every third day (sometimes longer), and I'm still maintaining the same relief from symptoms.
I'm now considering weaning myself off of it with doses once a week.

There's some compelling research that has been done on how it interacts with your 5HT (serotonin) receptors and how it can especially help those with depression and compulsive disorders.
Some even suggest that you can achieve permanent changes from acute dosing... I'm not sure of the validity of those suggestions.

So 1 thing i dont get doesnt tollerance happen quick. so you kept the dose the same i would have thought it needs to increase quick right away. even shooting for below threshhold. the next day needs more and more to have the same effect

Micro-doses are generally small enough to not influence tolerance.

My micro-dose regimen was .2-.3g for 5 Days on, 2 Days no dose. I generally do that for a month then a month off.

You'll have to discover your own regimen by experimentation. Some other regimens I've tried
- Dose 1 day, next 2 days no dose then repeat
- Dose every other day
- Dose once a week (.5g)

I felt that the best for me was the 5 days on, 2 days off at the dosage of .2 or .3g. You'll have to adjust dosage based on your individual needs and the potency of your mushrooms. For me, anything over .4g was too much and gave me some feelings of lethargy. Sometimes even .3g was a tad too much. .2g (200mg) works best for me.

Psychedelics have been shown to increase happiness , but not psychotic symptoms, long-term

I know you fancy yourself a knight of PubMed
But, just taking from the articles you've linked, your reflection is contradictory even to what the suggested research says... in the articles you've linked.

Quote:

Action of psychedelics on the mind and brain: This empirically informed model illustrates the hypothesized relationship between three different neurobiological or physiological states and their psychological counterparts. Specifically, it is predicted that deficient serotonin 2A receptor (5-HT2AR) stimulation has a stultifying influence on cognition, promoting pessimism, neuroticism and rigid thinking (phase 1). Informed by neuroimaging studies with psychedelics (Carhart-Harriset al.2014b), 5-HT2AR stimulation is associated with unconstrained brain network dynamics and the characteristic ‘entropic’ quality of cognition in the psychedelic state (phase 2). Finally, it is hypothesized that an acute ‘onslaught’ or ‘blast’ of 5-HT2AR stimulation, via the action of a psychedelic, has a residual influence on brain network dynamics and associated cognition (phase 3). 5-HT2AR stimulation is described as having a‘loosening’ or ‘lubricating’ influence on cognition and this is hypothesized to be conducive to improved psychological wellbeing. * The long-term effects of psychedelics on brain network dynamics have yet to be formally investigated.

Quote:

The present findings reinforce the view that psychedelics elicit psychosis-like symptoms acutely yet improve psychological wellbeing in the mid to long term.

Quote:

The findings from the present study highlight the role of psychological flexibility as a mediator of acute psychedelic effects and decreases in depression/anxiety.

Quote:

In healthy research subjects, the administration of a single dose of LSD (200 μg) in a safe setting was subjectively considered a personally meaningful experience that had long-lasting subjective positive effects.

It's bold of you to suggest something that's contrary to the standing hypothesis - something that has 'yet to be formally investigated'.
