Waking up cakes from the fridge

Hello,
I've got several BRF cakes that are fully colonized (a couple not quite fully, but they seemed to have stalled). They were colonized a few months ago, when I had more cakes that gave me quite a flush. After the first flush, I put the cakes into ziploc bags (first spraying the inside of the bags with water) and put them in the fridge. I also took the rest of the cakes which were still in the jars, and put them straight into misted zip loc bags as well. (I had to unexpectedly leave town for a few days and couldn't care for my grow). So, they've been in the fridge all this time and now I'm finally settled back into my routine and would like to revisit them.
I've heard of folks keeping cakes in the fridge for long periods of time. But I'm wondering if my cakes are any good...I'm not sure where along the line I messed up but my cakes seemed to be dry, (even after dunking once, and misting twice daily). And the flush I did get was quite slow. The cakes that hadn't been birthed never pinned, and some of them I put in the fruiting chamber for several days (I'm using the PF tek) and they never produced.
Is the mycelium dead? I was hoping I could break up the cakes and mix them with some new substrate in zip loc bags, and see what happens. Is keeping them refrigerated even a good idea? I hadn't seen any sign of contams, but it looks like in a couple of the bags at least, some of the mycelium has discolored.

If they have been in the FC for only a couple days, thats not very long. It can take up to 2 weeks to finally start seeing pins. Patience on this part....patience....
Make aure your FC is not dry but moist. Dont overmist but also dont undermist. Hope this helps.

Pictures would help a bunch.
If you want to break them up and shoebox them, I don't see an issue. But Logical is right, once you have slowed down any mycelium with cooler air for longer periods it will take time for them to come back and when they pin it will be an environmental trigger for reproduction. So if they are woken back up and RH is right and temperature is right and they have a nice environment than they become chill just munching on the BRF... BUt when you hydrate them and then induce pinning by creating an evaporation they will hurry to proliferate and try to stay alive via fruiting.

Sorry for the late response and bump. Thanks for your replies, guys.
Here are the photos. They are still in the fridge. A few cakes have colors that don't seem....good. A couple have pinned already, since before I refrigerated them (obviously).
How do they look?

They don't look great but you have to lose.
