Tallahassee area hunting questions and general hunting knowledge wanted

Hello everyone, I’m new to hunting shrooms and just have some semi easy questions to ask and from reading around there seems to be nice knowledge being passed around on these forums.
1. When I go to go looking I understand you want it to be quite cool and kinda damp from rain at least here in north Florida. And you want to go looking a day after the rain. But I haven’t been able to find a list that tells me what shrooms are in my area. And what's the growing season is for them.
2. I’ve consumed shrooms around 10 times and I still don’t know what the best way to consume them are. I’ve tried peanut butter sandwiches which was not to good. Pizza, yogurt and that about and also my favorite was tea made out of it still tasted like earth but way better than the other ways and the trip was way better imo.
Thanks to anyone that reads my randomness and can help me out. Even if you give me more starting out knowledge that I didn’t even ask for it’s greatly appreciated. Also if anyone is in the Tallahassee area and need a mushroom hunting friend dm I’m here and let’s link up! Once again thanks in advance for anyone that helps me!

This list should help. I believe the two most sought after species in your state are pan. cyans and p.cubensis

High humidity is usually the best primer for mushrooms to grow in general, however localities and micro climates may vary quite a bit, so you'll need to try seeking out the "ideal" spots. Also different species require different temperatures to fruit, so there are several species preferring cooler temps while others like warmer weather. Read up on the species you are after, every good description should include all the vital information you need.

Tea is the preferred recipe for many, however just eating the mushrooms raw without any condiments or added flavors is also very common. I've come to prefer steeping mine in strong alcohol for a few days, then draining off the now-psychoactive alcohol, discarding the mushrooms and then mix the alcohol with fruit juice and drink it down in one big gulp.
This way you'll get rid of any bacteria on top of not having to digest the tough flesh of the mushrooms themselves.
Remember that mushroom tissue is made of chitin, and digesting this while you're tripping can in my experience disrupt the trip since your mind and nervous system becomes very sensitive to physical discomfort and can lead your trip down the wrong path, especially if you're taking high doses.
You just crush the mushrooms (dried or fresh) into powder or tiny pieces, cover this in alcohol and let it sit with a cap or lid on for the necessary amount of time. I've found it gives me a way more comfortable onset and trip in general.

Angler pretty much summed it for you...crush them up....soak in a strong grain alcohol for a couple days, strain off the alcohol, discard the mushy mess and consume alcohol.
Strong alcohol is definitely my forte, I would recommend some everclear for your extraction.

I use a pocket knife to cut them up. Or a pair of scissors and cut them into pieces when I get fresh shrooms either pan cyans or cubes. Then when I have enough for a small handful I pop them in my mouth and take a sip of orange juice. If I don’t cut them all at once then individually until I feel I had enough
Tea is my best alternative that I have at least tried.
