Hello there! So these are PP5 plastic jars filled with oats, it comes from a G2g master which came from a MS syringe of the Golden Teacher variety. These jars are around a month and a half old, colonisation wierdly stopped on these, at the time I didn't know this relates to bacteria, since I am still relatively new to the hobby.
Then I found this in the jar:

so I take it they are contaminated. Now these dont show that kind of orange, but they seem unable to finish colonization,

I have to add that I did not shake these jars, they were too full to do so. As I said, I'm kinda new to this.
One further thing that worries me is that I spawned to bulk some jars that looked like the previous ones, I just tossed the few grains that were not colonised. So far, pins are starting to show, some are growing already. Should I be concerned about bacteria or anything like that?
Thanks in advance for your help and time.

Super wet looking.
Bacteria maybe. or just bad prep

Thank you for your answer. I boiled them for 35 or so minutes just until the first ones were bursting open. Then I strained for a couple hours and PC them for 2 hours. Likely I'm doing something wrong there.

I just prepared my oats about the same way, first go with oats. What do your lids look like. ✌🏻

you can see them in one of the pictures, it's just the plastic lid totally screwed and a 0.5cm or so hole filled with polyfill to allow for some gas exchange.
I think my problem could be that a plastic membrane is more permeable to heat and 2 hours PC cycle may be overcooking the grain. But it shouldn't affect the humidity inside the jar regardless. Maybe I should let the grain soak overnight instead of a few hours, I don't know.
But don't worry, you will probably be fine, I have had success before with that prep. I think being able to shake the jar (as in, don't fill it with grain to the top if you are doing g2g is very important.
Then again Im not that experienced, so let's hope a more experienced cultivator can chime in : D
