Spore to grains

I've inoculated 4 jars with multi spores. I know agar is the way to go and I've got everything for agar now, getting a flow hood built very soon. My question is am I likley to have success with multi spores onto grains ? My vendor mucci spores uk tests their spores on agar to see if they're clean. I know some bacteria can linger. Soon as I get fruits I'll be cloning and working from culture

Flow hood! That's hardcore. We use a still air box, it's a giant tote. It's like 80qt. We even cut arm holes in each side so 2 people can work, friends come over and we work together and my partner and I love it. Flow hoods are a ton of work and very expensive. Sab is cheap, whip one up to use at least until you're finished your flow hood.
We can put about 7 large full bags and a bunch of jars with LC and noc everything successfully. I wont buy or build a flow hood. The Sab is amazing. Agar is amazing too. You'll love it.

I guess it depends on the syringe. I did 20 something syringe to grain jars and never lost one but other people don’t seem to be as lucky.
I also made lcs with two syringes and they both grew clean on agar so I must’ve gotten exceptionally clean syringes.

Truth is, you’ll most likely get some fruits and, if the point of this is getting a clone culture, there’s no need to go to agar anyway.
Now, if you’re trying to get good yields, skipping agar isn’t a good move.

I've already got a sab, learnt the hard way from not using one haha. I've grown weed for years and I'm super anal on how I grow, now I'm getting into mycology i thought fuck it, go all out haha. I'm pretty good with my hands so building the flow hood is easy for me just expensive. Just seem to have more freedom infront of a hood.

My plan is to get fruits and clone and then go from there. I've lost 2 batches of grain from buying from online and I've changed my spore source to a more professional vendor. I was just worried after reading a few threads people saying ms to grain isnt worth it. I'm going for yeilds and I'm so excited to work with agar and get some masters filled.

That's awesome! I hope to have some of your luck haha. Soon as I get fruits I'll be happy just so I can clone. My vendor has showed me his test plates from my syringe batch so I'm hoping everything will be good.

Sounds like you put a lot of trust in people...the only "we" involved in my mycology endeavors was my SO.... leave friends out of the loop IMO

Good call. I’ve had partners before - people I trusted - and it never works. Their freedom isn’t in danger, so they blab about it to sound cool or w.e. Good thing they never got booked...would’ve flipped on me faster than a fish on land.

They're fellow growers. Haha. My partner is my soon to be fiance.
Lots of friends know what I do. They support it. It's a good cause,

Ah, gotcha lol.
Sounds like you have a solid plan. Only advice I got for you is tuck that green thumb away - all the shit that’s important in growing budzerz means nothing in mush cult. You’ll prolly never check the pH of, or add nutes to, anything. Lights are the least important thing and you need 0 ventilation.

Haha yeah I've found that out. I've got a ton of equipment, controllers for environment, expensive leds, automated multi feed system ect. All just sat there now haha. I'm really looking forward to the mycology journey. Seems to be more laid back in terms of interference with what's growing. Just gotta let the muccies do their thing

I did MS syringe to grain, and it isn't looking too promising for me.

/If the syringe and jars are clean then it should 100% work... that’s where it all starts. I keep spore prints laying around Incase of contam and have to start over
