    #26479836 - 02/11/20 09:34 AM (3 years, 11 months ago)

So i have a few bridgesii montrose clone (short clumping kind) 2 i got about 1.5-2 months ago. each 1 has one rooted section and 1 section coming off that thing is with these 2 i have seen no growth in the month and half 2 months i have had them. Are they dead? anyway to stimulate growth? i am thinking maybe they froze in shipping?

If you live in the northern hemisphere then it's deepest winter right now. Cacti don't grow during winter, only in summer.

Don't water in winter. Start watering in spring, slowly, maybe once a month a splash of water. Bridgesii are prone to overwatering.
In summer when it's really hot you can water more often. But less is more with bridgesii I'd say.

Also, the monstrose clone doen't grow much at all. Maybe an inch or two per year? It's most likely to pup in spring (grow a new colum/offshoot).

When cacti are moved to another location they need to aclimate. It's normal that they don't grow for several weeks. Just let it be as it is, it will start growing somewhere within the next months.

If they were recently cut before you got them thay will need to develop a big root system and can grow more slowly for a while for that reason.
In spring, move them to a sunny warm location and begin water them, not so much in the beginning.
Un-glased clay pots is good for cactuses as moisture can escape through the pot walls and prevent too moist conditions in the soil.
When summer comes you can increase waterings but still let the soil dry out between waterings.
You might add little fertilizer in spring when you see they start growing, a little only.
