There are many different species of aphids...

They come in all sorts of different colors & sizes...And it seems different types of aphids are attracted to different plants.

I fucking despise aphids though!...those bastards...and that nasty mess they make. And fuck the ants farming them too lol!

I usually get them on my melon plants around the middle of to late summer.

And I had some aphids on my cannabis plants a few weeks before harvesting last year, gosh that pissed me off lol. Since it was so close to harvest I couldn't spray anything on the plants. So every single morning I would have to wipe the aphids off the undersides of leaves using a paint brush. Using a paint brush to swipe them off actually worked great at removing them with out bothering the plants but it was such a tedious process, checking the undersides of almost every single leaf on 5 plants and giving them a wipe with the brush. I did that every morning for 2 weeks.

For my melon plants that started to get infested with aphids....I made a mix of dish soap & vegetable oil in warm water. Works good at removing and killing the aphids with out much or any harm to the plant.

Sometimes, depending on the plant, they can just be sprayed off with water from a hose.

time, patience, and child's very soft tooth brush. 2 years finally got them off my p viridis with just a tooth brush every morning.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Aphids love living amongst my Brugmansias but they haven't been causing any trouble so far.
