How worried should I be about lead in chinese sources mushrooms?

As title, how worried should I really be about this? I have got shiitake and oyster mushrooms dried and use them to make a mushroom soup for the health benefits. But worry it is counter productive if I'm slowly getting lead poisoning.
Is this a genuine concern? I aim to find uk grown sources next time but they are harder to find. Will pay the extra as I am already very happy with the value for money. But is this a legitimate concern or is it just propaganda?

I'm not really sure probably depends on who is growing it in China and how much they care about it. Honestly if you have the space id say just grow your own. Shiitake and oysters are pretty easy to grow.

Very.
I would only buy from a US source.
I even go as far as only buying from Host Defense from Paul Stamets.

Yeah, just like anywhere the cheapest stuff is often the most suspect as well.
There are plenty of quality products made in china, but it's never going to be the cheapest most mass produced stuff. Another thing to consider is forced labor which China is notorious for.
If you are really worried you could look into testing some for lead content, not sure how much it would cost but it might be worth the peace of mind. Honestly I want a lead testing kit in general to test water and various cheap products with.

China stopped putting lead in their mushrooms they have discovered it is more lucrative to pad the weight with nanomachines that influence buying habits

I know that some countries in Asia adulterate tumeric with lead which is scummy behaviour.

Yeah I heard that about turmeric and lead used to make it more colourful. Scary stuff, but where the fuck can you get turmeric sourced from a reliable source?
Also finding it hard to get uk sourced dried shiitake and oyster. Its all grown in China!

How about growing your own? If it's cold then use a greenhouse or make the plant a house plant.
