Yeah I agree , that was my first impression. I brought it home to scope, was going to do it tonight but decided to take a trip to the other side

Let's see some cheilocystidia, pleurocystidia and pileocystidia.
Here's an instructional video on how to find pleurocystidia: https://www.facebook.com/groups/FungalMicroscopy/permalink/2748673995179984/
And a video on how to calibrate your microscope so you can measure stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/FungalMicroscopy/permalink/2751000454947338/

Its calibrated, my eye piece reticle lined up perfectly with the 100x objective where 10um on the scale is really 10um. I have not calibrated the 10x and 40x objectives because I don't use them for measurements.
I should be able to post more pictures tonight and also see if I can post the reference I used so no one else's uses it and ends up with incorrect information.

this is what I have found, for some reason this one has been difficult for me to find the different cystidia, 3 have been found so far.

At 1st I thought it was because I needed to rehydrate the specimen more but I couldn't find anything after hydrating gill sections for an hour plus.
