Either PF tek or a sclerotia producing tek would fit that bill.

Yeah sounds like OP should be growing stones, though that requires patience and OP also sounds like a kid trying to grow at mom’s house...

Shoeboxes
Takes one quart of grain, very little maintenance and great yield.

I’m growing in pasty plates right now as an experiment. They’re about 3in in diameter and 2in deep sooo...yeah, you’ll be fine with small containers.

What you want to avoid is putting spores straight to grain. Look into agar, it’s worth it. And it only looks complicated - easiest and most important step of a grow, basically.
Edit: when done right, you can expect a minimum of 1oz dry per quart of spawn.

Swinette said: I am just going to be expirementing with 3 different kinds right now. I want to only use one quart spawn jar per, so im only using 2ml of spore for each grow. So I was hoping i could do basically a mono tub, but small scale into a one of those resealable food storage things. I was just unsure if they would really grow in something so small
If your not doing agar or pc'ing. I hate to say it but look into a kit.then come back and we will tell you how to do everything correctly. Most grow kit instructions are wrong.

As I understand it using spores straight to grain carries a greater risk of contamination. The spores themselves can be contaminated, depending on how the syringes have been prepared. You'll also have a much wider range of genetics in the mushrooms that you grow.
It should work fine but it's a lot more hit and miss.
On the other hand using agar allows you to isolate individual strains of mycelium as well as letting you separate the mycelium from contaminants.
Basically agar should help you to achieve better yields with less losses.
That said, I'm still fairly new to growing, someone else might be able to give you better info. Best of luck with it.

Find a dark colored storage tote with a clear lid to use as your FC. It will definitely hide it that way.

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15713099 Doesn't get much smaller than this. Lmao. Get yourself one of those mini totes and make a mini sgfc boom. Model size grow. Lmao. I still laugh at how stupid I was when I was younger. Those posts were embarrassing.

Syringe to grain is fine for what you’re doing.
Shoeboxes you should get an ounce at least over two flushes. And that would be kinda on the low side.

If you're set on doing spores to grain you should do more than 1 jar per variety.
As others mentioned, spores to grain can work, but has a higher chance of failure. That means the less jars you do, the higher chance that you could get nothing... depends how unlucky you are, but it hurts bad when you make 3 jars and no backups, and all your shit goes south

That's fine, spore syringe to grain can work. But it's a bit of a gamble, depending on the syringe, your grain prep, and your sterile technique, you could lose anywhere from 20-50% of the jars you make to contamination.
Hence, you should make a few spares. Many smaller jars with less oats/spore solution will help your chances vs a couple big jars with a lot of spore solution.
I'm definitely overcomplicating it... Just trying to give you the best chance of success
