It’s different here because you’re still on ‘your time’.
I’m about 80-85% loner, with a 10-15% social side to me. One of the main issues though is lining up those times with when I’m in that specific mood, usually I get it backwards. Being around people is a lot of work. I like to slow down and think about shit that’s a little heavier than who won the football game or what Tiffany did to Jessica at work the other day..

I freaking love alone time
Give me some beer, some smokes, good food, my remote and a night to myself and I almost always have a good time

Alone time is great because then I get to browse the forums, play video games and do mycology work.

I read somewhere that extroverts get recharged by social interaction and get drained by being alone, while introverts are the opposite. I'm the latter - half the reason why I keep coming here. In fact a board like shroomery probably has more loners than others in general.
Been antisocial my whole life, sometimes to a pathological degree. A balance is best IME. Nowadays I have a small group of close friends that I see not too often, which is fine. I still enjoy alone time, but the more I have it the more I want it - like an addict haha.
Paradoxically, when i trip (esp mushrooms) i become acutely aware of a pervading loneliness buried underneath my self-identified lone-wolfiness.
Humans are innately social animals - it's all about finding your tribe, even if that's just one person. I.e. you can be yourself around them and not carry on the exhausting facade that seems to be expected of everyone in "civil" society.
Wishing ya'll much peace in your solitude

Interestingly they are also most drained by each other, the Introvert who "doesnt get with the party" and the Extravert "who just won't shut up."
For an introvert, a group of extraverts is like a shelf full of really loud Furby's going off.

I go batty if I can't be alone at least a while every day. I need space to miss people. I think for introverts or at least myself, social interaction makes more sense as a desire than a necessity. Extroverts see interaction as important as food or water. But for introverts it's more like a hobby or just something to love. But less like interpersonal love and more like.. pure appreciation. Like I love my guitar, I love playing guitar and making music. I just don't need to do it every day.

All my life I wanted to be left alone.
Now that I mostly am, I find I'd enjoy some more company.
Its been a long week of alone time together with the common cold/flu Glad it did subside.
