Habitat:  Santa Cruz Mnts, CA, in decaying oak duff.

Cap diameter only a few cm.

Spore print: deep, dark brown

LOoks like Psathyrella candolleana. You managed to make them look a lot cooler than they really are with that pic.

Oh man, I thought these (below) were my P. candolleana, found just a few feet away but earlier in the season. They are much bigger, with caps around 5-7cm.
