Fruiting uncolonized cakes...?
    #2647617 - 05/06/04 10:29 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Well for money issues I don't have a well built incubator yet so I was using a heating pad to keep the jars at around 85 degrees. But the damn thing turns off after 2 hours of it being on so there was no real way to keep the temperature stable, it kept dropping down to 69 degrees and back up to 90 or so when I turned the heating pad back on... Back to the point, I didnt use a heated incubator, I just put the jars in a dark place in an Tupperware wear box. The jars took a little less then a month to be fully colonized... 4 of the jars Didn't fully colonize and they have seemed to stop all together with. It's just about 5% of the very top of the cake uncolonized. I was wondering if It would be ok to put these jars in a fruiting chamber with out problems?

I have been currently reading up on casing but this is my first grow so I am not to clear on all the right procedures yet, or I would just case the jars. A few would be grand, thanks lol

there BRF and Verm jars, B+
