Definitely wait for someone else to chime in before eating, but it looks like a cube. Not enough to trip on though, I’m afraid.

Gotta be a Psilocybe species, not sure which one though. Nice find.

Are you sure the spores were black? Was there just the one or many?
I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it kinda has an Inocybe aura about it.
More pics would definitely help.

Got a gill shot? Is that dirt it’s connected to, or wood?

I’m with you. I’m curious AF, but I acknowledge the bump won’t bring the OP back and this one will be left a mystery forever...
One blurry pic and some kind of partial description that creates questions more than gives clues... And then no follow up. Logging in isn’t like driving to the post office to check for mail. To all those who promptly follow up, thank you.
Society these days...
Glad to get my weekly rant out of the way early.

Curious as well, I guess according to the occurrence list for Louisiana there are basically three options, but I'm not sure which order to put them in - obviously due to the lack of better pictures and more information.
Then again, this is OP's first post and s/he will probably learn the ropes of hunting and identification if given a good chance.

Yes cows. Like did I say I found this in some rich soil. It probably is cubensis. Don’t know why not but it just had a unique look. I can’t take any more picture though. Maybe spores were mostly black but they were definitely darker

Looks like some Inocybe I have seen but with some distinct difference included blue bruising, a less conical appearance and a lighter shade stem and effervescent golden top.
That was the only one yesterday. Those distinct features are like other ps cubensis. Theory that this one just matured before most would with a shorter stature. The gills had a faded black to grey appearance and you could see through them to a white underneath the cap. This color gills are like the shroom in my new post

If you're referring to your first picture I really can't understand what makes you say that. Doesn't look very much like an Inocybe at all - but again, please provide better and more detailed pictures, preferably in situ or at least in natural light.

Ah. I planted the thought of Inocybe. I recently went through the eastern US Inocybe key, so I had it on the brain. But knowing they have high variability and noting some, per the key, have golden/yellow caps that are conical, and the with many species “demonstrating” blue/green bruising, and the habitat of growing under oak, I figured there was a likelihood of it being a cubensis-in-appearance-like Inocybe. But now knowing there was livestock in the same pasture, that changes everything.
If anyone is curious: http://mathenylab.utk.edu/Site/The_Inocybaceae_Post_files/Key_Inocybe_easternNA_v02.pdf

I’m not sure what I was thinking off but it was some mushrooms I had seen a couple years ago I thought there was an Inocybe but maybe Conocybe is actually what I was thinking about. Thank you for the info. I can use some research to specify more in the future
