I don't like other search engines, I have compared results side by side. People are using duck to rebel not because it's better.
The biggest problem I have with Google is how many things they are invested in. The search engine needs to made arms length from the rest of their business, and made demonstrably fair. If you have an internet business you need Google, period. Search neutrality needs to be a law.
Example I start a business, say Viraldrome Travel. There is nothing to stop Google from deciding my travel agency competes with Google Travel and they bury my search results.
βThe best place to hide a dead body is page two of Google search results.β β Unknown
They did this to a bunch of comparison shopping sites so Google Shopping would take over, it drove everyone else out of business.
They own youtube, so when Youtube censors cryptocurrency videos is it just because Google banking is coming and they want favors from the legacy financial industry? They are so big and vast you can never be sure if they are doing things in the public interest or if they have a little side thing.
I'm waiting for a big anti trust lawsuit against these fuckers

Google Search isnt the best. It shows you what you think you like to see, or what their advertizers feel you gotta see - NOT WHATS REALLY OUT THERE.

you get use to the one you use, ive used the duck for a couple years, and the other day I was at the library and the default engine was google, I tried to look up how long to instant pot ribs, and I got like what seemed a whole first page of sponsored ads, couldnt find a normal article, had to switch to DDG
Ive also used Linux since 2015, people say its worse, but again the computers at the library use windows 10, and I find it utterly unresponsive, they have google chrome and fire fox, I use fire fox at home, but for some reason it seems unusable on the library computers, like windows fucks with it, I have to use chrome at the library
my point is maybe one thing isnt better or worse then the other, its just what you are used to

Instapot ribs on high pressure, 35 min. A little apple juice and liquid smoke in bottom of pot, ise the wire shelf thing and wrap ribs around pot. Then I brushed with bbq sauce and under broiler till caramelized. Not as good as a slow smoke but not terrible either

I'm pissed off with the Google / Getty / Europe fucking up the image search function. Whenever you peeps / life referred to some unknown quantity I'd just do a quick google > search image and enlarge thumnails with a right click. Simple.
Why these fucks got to screw up this easy research tool? fuck em. I don't want to visit a dozen sites and have to accept their poxy cookies just to find out what the fuck someone was on about. If you got a way to work around this bullshit let me know.
In the mean time I tried this "DDG". Equally bullshit fuck-you-about function. I found that 'Bing' with the "licence filter" is the most useful for my purpose so far.
