Anyone taken Panaeolus papilionaceus?
    #26471650 - 02/06/20 08:08 AM (3 years, 11 months ago)

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has info on these Panaeolus papilionaceus.  I would prefer taking the psilocybin cubensis since that seems to be the one that's used in most studies.

Would anyone know if Panaeolus papilionaceus has psilocybin it it?  And comparatively speaking is Panaeolus papilionaceus stronger than psylocibin cubensis?

Papilionaceus are non active. Unles you are just starving I wouldnt suggest eating them.

Ok thanks.  Obtaining these is proving to be a rather difficult task

Youre looking for Panaeolous (Coplandia) cyanscens.  And they are more potent than cubensis. Youd only want to try .5 to 1.0gr dried.  Some people they cannget uncomfortable more than 2.0

According to this paper you would need a whole lot of them but they do contain psilocin and psilocybin in trace amounts. I'm skeptical of the findings and proper identification of the specimens used. Interesting read either way.

"We found that Panaeolus semiovatus var. semiovatus, P. papillionaceous, and P. ater contained 112.3 mg/100 g, 35.9 mg/100 g, 91.2 mg/100g psilocibin respectively; psilocin contents of P. semiovatus var. semiovatus and P. papillionaceous were found to be 137.6 mg/100 g and 15.6 mg/100/g; however P. ater was not found to contain psilocin. In addition, it was also found that P. antillarum, P. fimicola, P. olivaceus and P. papilionaceus var. papilionaceus did not contain psilocin and/or psilocibin."

The name Panaeolus papilionaceus is applied to at least seven different species - most are inactive but some may be weakly active.
