One of these days I'll get up to hunt the New York Pennsylvania border, particularly the Corning and Elmira areas to see if they have found their way there yet. My Youngest daughter lives there and I have been wanting to hunt that area for years now but it has always been snowing by time I get there or hasn't stopped yet.

Yeah unfortunately the flooding wiped out the only patch I've found, there is a lot of mycelium around the area, but the actual spot that was producing has been wiped out, rearranged and covered in mud

7 in total for me today, they stunk reaaaaalllly good. Thought the season was over as there weren't any pins in sight a week ago. These + 10ish more pins popping up from what I could see (left the pins to see what will happen). They were a bit dry, should have gotten there yesterday in hindsight but I didn't expect them to actually come back up with this weather. Felt inclined to check the spot today and wasn't disappointed  :headbang:

Bad pictures... sorry  All bruised correctly even though it's hard to see in third picture.

Today was filled with clusters in the debris piles again.  :bigblunt:

Here's some of the things I was able to observe on my hike

Man what a difference 50 miles makes. Everything here is dried or moldy.

Your season did start about two week later tho. That happened two years ago too. Even driving up to philly once you got past Baltimore the trees had noticeably less leafing out.

Great stuff TS! I stopped hunting a couple weeks ago. Had a fishing trip in North Central Pa...still have not found any up there although I did replenish my chaga stock.:awesomenod: In any case, it's certainly been an above average season this year and I have more than my friends and I can use. I'm thinking of doing a campfire by the water trip to celebrate the harvest.:pm:me if you want to join.
