I’ve found ovoids through August, but after mid June they’re mostly gone
I think we’re getting towards the end of the season now. Maybe one more good flush if the weather forecast of cool weather and rain comes true. From here on out things get harder. The vegitation is higher, the fruits don’t last as long with the bugs and stuff

Does the potency change which each flush or change towards the end of season?
I've noticed the 1's I've harvested this year in my new spots aren't as potent as the 1's I had in my original spot 3 years ago. Hence why I asked.

I had a good amount of success hunting shaded creeks last season up until early June, even though the earlier patches stopped fruiting mid may.

My 2nd flush doesn't even look like the same species as the 1st LoL. My 1st flush were godlike, 2 caps picked washed chewed set me off for 7 hours. (pic in sig). My 2nd flush isn't really a flush just some singles, dark odd looking, not very appetizing. Must be many unknown factors involved that no one can predict.

Started previous june with stembutts from a local find. By fall last year was fully colonized and fed more mulch.

When i brag sbout filling trash bags and pulling pounds daily its its mostly because I cant talk about that kind of stuff with people in my every day life so Im kind of venting to strangers on the internet. I do think haul size is important so yeinz know how good the hunting is here and maybe I can inspire someone to take a trip to the burg. Spent years harvesting modest amounts and now im only limited by how much I can fit in my bookbag. Life is good man. Get put there and pull some pounds for me boys

What do guys like you and Koods do with your massive hauls? Are you just throwing them out the window sharing them with the masses all year long!?
I got a little over 100 dried grams in my half a dozen or so hunting trips and am beyond stoked. That's already more than enough for my wife and I to follow an aggressive microdosing schedule (4 days on, 3 days off) and trip our balls off every 2/3 weeks and we'd still have some left by the start of next season.
I can't imagine what I'd do with pounds of dried fruit.

Whereabouts in VA are you? I've seen a number of people mention the lack of potency this year, but the one patch of mine I sampled from NOVA was nice and strong.
0.75 grams got me a level 2 trip. Granted they were super fresh and healthy looking. The last week I definitely pulled some less prime looking fruits that had started getting a little sun baked, and I haven't sampled them yet to test for potency. So maybe I just got lucky on my first patch.

Do you think this is better at saving alkaloids than drying them? I've never seen numbers, but it sounds like ovoids are higher in unstable compounds, e.g. psilocin, and tea made with freshies and then frozen better preserves them.

I'm not sure, but it works well for me. Also because I have yet to purchase a dehydrator, it's the quickest way to get the actives out and preserve them

Dehydrate them and put them in jars with a desiccant potency loss is not an issue. Although like most things in life they are best enjoyed fresh.
