Nice work getting it to fruit indoors with minimal effort.

I have a patch of mycelium I managed to acquire last year. Had it outside until a month ago. Brought it in and have been watering it regularly. Hoping some pins pop before nature does it organically. Any advice on getting ovoids to pop indoors?

Indoor in pots they tend to fruit a little earlier than the outdoors, keep them in a warm place and mist regularly, For this reason greenhouses are my favorite place to get a jump start on the season it is not uncommon to find them early in the season because of the increased temps and irrigation

I love it. Have a pot full of mycelium myself I'm starting at, watering, caring for, and screaming at to grow baby grow!

I'm gonna try the pot method this year. I did have a huge mass of mycelium about 4x4ft wide and a foot deep colonized with woodchips. Then a flood came and washed it all away. 😅

Oh the pear tree is in bloom so 17-20 days before the start of the season.
Just for reference this is five weeks ahead of last year

Hey koods. Isnt this incredibly early even for you to have pins coming up and for the tree to bloom? Here's to hoping there aren't any freezing snaps that ruin it all.

Freezing snaps aren’t really a problem as long as temps and rain is right the rest of the time

This is my second year hunting. I know they aren't popping here in pa yet but I'm watching you folks closely as I did last year as they march up the east coast. I found a nice honey hole I'll start checking about the beginning of april. Excited about this second season and the potential.

This is comparable and maybe a week earlier the 2012 season when the season started around the end of March, before it stopped raining for weeks.
