Were you a class clown? Share your stories! * 1
    #26471109 - 02/05/20 09:02 PM (3 years, 11 months ago)

I loved 8th-12th grade.  Everyone grew the hell up and almost every clique got along with the other, so bullying really wasn't an issue in my high school.  I really began to open up let my humor our, mostly at totally inappropriate times.

I remember a time in 8th grade when had to do Current Events, where we'd pick a story from the newspaper and touch on the 5 W's of it.  It really helped us learn to think critically.  Anyway, one my my classmates was telling this story about a guy that Oded on an entire bottle of Prozac and I immediately chimed in, "Well at least he died happy!"  I definitely got laughs but my teacher was FURIOUS.  She was used to me blurting stuff out but I was never excessive and never DERAILED a lesson or anything so she'd usually humor me.

"Newbie, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!"
"I....  thought it was funny..."
"You're up front for the rest of class.  I can't believe you..."

Years later I ran into the dude at a bar and we were reminiscing about school days and I asked if he remembered that story and he's like yeah, when you made fun of my Uncle?"

"*spits drink out*  WHAT?  That was your Uncle?! I totally didn't pay attention for that part.  I'm sorry, dude!"

He didn't take any offense at all, he thought the joke was hilarious and THAT's when I finally realized why she reacted so strongly.

Another favorite time was when I was stupid and wasted money attending ITT Tech right out of high school.  I quickly realized the classes were bullshit and the grade didn't matter.  It was like the Whose Line of For Profit 'colleges".  My English teacher was pushing 70 and we were presenting our "prose" we had spent the last week writing.  I got up in front of the class and recited, "The Black Parade" from My Chemical Romance with a totally straight face.

"When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band.  He said son..."

You could see everyone's face lighting up knowing exactly what I was doing while the teacher had zero clue.  It was hilarious and the energy in the room was awesome.  Of course we didn't even need to turn in the paperwork to get credit, so I basically passed that class reciting emo music.

Let's hear your stories!

I was more of a troubled youth that the teachers were scared of. We had our fun though. I went to school in the Detroit area school system and we didn't give a fuck. Our jokes were like lighting a school book on fire and putting shit in the teachers coffee.

When the soda called "Surge" came out we played a game like the commercials. At lunch we got a can of Surge and put it on the other side of the school then 30 of us met of at the opposite side and the only rule was to get the soda first. It was "king of the hill" mixed with a gladiator type race. Fun times for a while.

I was, but I got that shit beaten out of me (not literally) by the teachers and stuff. I think I would have ended up becoming a pretty good stand up comedian if they hadn't just been totally merciless about it. I would always make a joke out of everything, and the teachers just fucking hated it, and I got fucked repeatedly by doing that. I would do the assignments, but I'd turn them all into comedy stuff, and the teachers would be furious and I'd get in trouble. Eventually I just stopped doing anything comedy related entirely and never went back to it.

I feel sad about it now, like I was robbed of something I could have been good at. I get where the teachers were coming from, but I still feel like they could have seen I was trying to do the assignments and just really loved comedy and was trying to turn everything into comedy. It sucks, I wish I had maintained that interest rather than getting it just beaten out of me.

Damn dude, sorry to hear about that... Have you ever thought about maybe writing that experience into an act?  That could make for some very interesting material.

In third grade I went behind the teacher while she was lecturing to sharpen my pencil but proceeded to mock her with way over exaggerated gestures and lip-synching. The whole class was cracking off so she would turn around every 15/20 seconds and I would just go back to sharpening my pencil before she had a chance to notice

I was not a class clown but I do regret this now.  I was a loner, drawing my own comic books in the back of the classroom, and worshiping lovely maidens from afar.  I would do it over completely different if given the chance.  This go-round I would (if I could go back to that same time period that I was in school) be a total clown, rock a mullet, drive a T-Top Trans Am and have a huge collection of stoner rock and STDs.

I HATED middle and HS. I was moved around to 3 different middle schools and 3 different HS's, so it was a complete nightmare to me. I don't think my mom realized that she was fucking us up, but you can not change the past, you can only work towards the future.  I did get caught with a real old school pearl handled switchblade. One that I stole from and apartment me and a guy broke into. BUT, it was the apartment right next to his and they had left the keys in the door. I was a vagabond/heathen/latchkey kid/street urchin type, lol. Stole cars, broke into places, stole shit (all before I was 15 too), I've come a long way and had to make up for that stuff in many ways.

once in grade 9 french I took my shirt off and laid it over top of my body so it looked like it was on, then I raised my hand and answered a question like that and the teacher didnt notice at first. then the shirt slipped a little bit and she did notice.

Back in High School, i was pretty damn shy. Up until Junior year, i did not say a lot. Almost everyone of my classes had a class clown and I was pretty envious of them. I wanted to be the class clown, but i lacked the confidence to do so :nonono:

Like he comes on stage and says for the whole school ...

Put your hands together yall for dicks erect ! As loud as he could , hahaha oh man we thought that was so so funny and every one went into a chaotic laughter riot .

I don't think he figured out what he'd said till after we played

Thanks we thought so. Sometimes we d put acid in our friends mouths if they passed out in class lol . And they'd wake up tripping ....,.mind you these were close friends

But only under the condition that we had to take care of them the rest of the day , it was def a responsibility , but if you had a car and time , worth it

Hahaha I'll never forget my bud Sean's face ...waking up after a deep nap in a school work block........"man, I think I'm tripping" hahah ah those were good days

Way back in the 90s, my parents sent me to a Christian school. To make a long story short, at the state basketball tournament, one of the teacher chaperones caught me with the preacher’s daughter in a hotel room with no chaperone. Granted we were fully clothed at the time, but  the room probably smelled like “teen spirit” in there. Of course this asshole reported this to the principal and the preacher, her dad. The administration tried to cover it up because the preacher’s daughter was involved but the teacher was being an ass because I gots one over on him.

Anyway I felt like this was a personal attack and I needed to hand out some justice. All the classics came to mind, keying, egging, or vandalizing his vehicles or TPing his house. No, he needed something real special. Sitting in the library I was reading a magazine, then it hit me, tear magazine subscription mailer in the middle of the magazine, fill it out with his name and address, check the bill me later box and take it to the outside dropbox  at the post office. I looked through the church directory and I easily located his home address and telephone number.  I filled out every magazine subscription card in the school library that had a “bill me later option.”

Over the next several weeks I visited a couple of local libraries and filled out every magazine subscription card I could. I sent him everything thing from gun and hunting magazine, arts and crafts, political, and most definitely religious magazines. If there was a magazine at the library that had a “bill me later” option on the subscription card, I had it sent to him.

A couple of months went by, and I wondered if my little trick was working. It was close to graduation and I was worried I wasn’t going to enjoy the fruits of my labor. A couple of weeks before graduation, I was in his class when I noticed 2 magazines on his desk. One was a hunting magazine and the other was a gun magazine. I told him that the magazines looked pretty cool and he offered to let me take a look at them. He bragged that he must have had a free subscription to them. Then he said maybe it was some kind of mistake or something.

He took one of the gun magazines and showed me an article about a .44 magnum. He boasted that he was going to purchase one in the future. He bragged that he was going to be so good at shooting this pistol, he would able to take head shots at somebody if they were holding his wife hostage. It sounded like it was some sort of fantasy or fetish of his. He was creepy as fuck talking about it. As we spoke, I felt such satisfaction that this guy tried to get me expelled from school and now we are talking about his “free” magazines, like everything was all good.

I knew this was only the tip of the iceberg and more were going to follow. A lot more! After I graduated, I heard he got a shit load of magazines and his wife thought he had a problem. This warmed my heart and I felt justice was served. Other than the little trouble he had with his wife, I didn’t hear about anything else about it.

And I lived happily ever after, the end.

I remember my 10th grade US Gov't teacher.  She was stupid hot, fresh out of college, like hottest teacher in the school and I was so psyched I got her that year.  She handed out our books, handed us slips of paper, and asked us to write our names and numbers on them.  My dumbass took it as phone number and wrote my phone number down.

She's collecting the papers and she looks at me, and in front of the class goes, "Newbie, BOOK number, not phone number."  The class erupted.  I was embarrassed, for sure, but she actually laughed about it and that def solidifed my place in her classroom and her mind

Another favorite memory was my Senior Year.  My Psych/Soc teacher told us on day one that if the guys shaved a mullet and the girls dyed their hair an atrocious color and kept a journal about peoples' reactions to it for 3 semesters we'd automatically ace the final.  My high school sweetheart and I JUMPED on that.  I remember going to the hair dresser and asking for a Mullet and they hesitated.  This was back in '03-'04 when mullets really started being taboo.

So I kept a journal like I was supposed to, and man that wasn't easy.  Walking though the mall, in public, etc was embarrassing as fuck but I got used to it.  My girl dyed her hair like purple and brown, it was a bad look.  We were the only kids not only this class but all his classes to do it.

He let us off after just 2 semesters and we handed in our journals.  We broke up by the time finals rolled around but I showed up, made a zigzag pattern down my scantron, and left.  I got the results about a week later.  100% :awebig:

One of the comic books I was drawing for myself in high school was called Bat Dude.  He was a human/bat hybrid and his side kick was a new wave listening skateboarder named Rubin, Boy Waver.  Like I stated previously, I was a complete loner.  Somehow my Bad Dude comic was stolen from me and unbeknownst to me at the time, was circulating around the school and had developed a following.  It wasn't until the final semester of my senior year that I saw someone with it and told them that it was mine.  He was all like "You made this? No way, man!" and word got round that the quiet nerdy dude drew this up.  I had instantly became somewhat popular.  I finally had a social life at school right before it was over.

I did good and passed everything.

Until half way through my first year. Got arrested for no reason one morning. For something I didnt do. It was scarey. Some big guy with a shaved head , he yelled at me and called me every name in the book. With his face all red. Than they through us in a room with the equivalent of Canadian federal police. My friend and I both had to deal with it. It was a special unit , they were wearing suits and ties.

My friend had a smile and they screamed at us from the top of their lungs. what the fuck are you smiling at. We didnt know what we did the whole time. Or what was going on. After that I hated and stopped going to school.

It gave me anxiety. Basically being a child at the time it was really nice of them.

Yeah things like that happen. It was for something serious. Someone gave them my name.

I honestly didn't do it , or know. This was before everyone had a cell phone. Not haveing one kept me out of more trouble. Maybe my luck will change. Maybe I'll have some good luck soon. wasn't the class clown.

My luck will change one day. Hopefully for the better.
