I bought 5kg of rye grain from whole foods online and I was getting tons of burst grains, turns out the bag contains loads of broken and split grains. Shit quality. Does anyone in the uk know where to buy decent rye grains from ?

Doves farms is a good place - their 25kg bag has a decent value (but look somewhere else if you need a smaller one): https://www.dovesfarm.co.uk/products/organic-rye-grain-25kg

I only use Doves 25kg bags - great quality. Not dusty, not contaminated with other stuff. Organic, no pesticides or fungicides. Works great.

I have indeed - they have top notch quality (I know someone who purchases grains from them and grinds flour at home to bake homemade bread). But 25kg bag might be a large purchase for some home growers. Delivery usually takes 3-5 business days (no tracking info, but they are reliable).
Very clean and completely organic.

Looks like I'm buying a bag, is there many broken grains in their bags?

I think I'm going to get a bag, sounds good. Do you find many broken, split grains in their sacks? Dont fancy sifting through a load of grain like the last 5kg I purchased haha.

Very good quality as far as I can tell - a few broken grains are not really a problem, you just don't want too many as then the spawn could turn into starchy/sticky mess (but on their own broken grains are not always equal to contamination).
I would be more concerned if rye is overboiled or improperly boiled (e..g too intense of heat for too long) - that can result in seriously high amounts of burst kernels. I soak mine overnight in hot water before boiling (as hot as it comes from my tap ..60C?).
