Please help, new to the forum and have a problem I need to overcome with hydration.

Hello , new to the forum , but not new to mushrooms.

I have recently started growing with all in one bags . The ease is wonderful, my mycelium is rapid and thick. I’m getting ready to put in my monotub , Which is set up with ventilation and filters, however it is very low tech. The way I like to keep it.

I will be gone for 3 days. What can I do about watering?

Unfortunately I will be 1000 miles away, right during peak fruiting, the tub is covered with perlite, moist, then tinfoil , a small water heater keeping it at 75, then my boom blocks.

Aerator in the water heater?

Mist machine? But then what about fanning?

Not watering for 2.5 days??

What are my options.

Thanks guys. Really invested in this and want the best for my fungi.

I should mention, i just mixed the grain with the compost in the all in one block, It needs to solidify, Should i just keep it in the bag for three weeks and deal with the mono tub after i come back?

I will be using a large tub, is their any negative aspects to waiting? The grain was 75 percent colonized before i mixed it into the compost section. Right now, the bag is limp, the mycellium hasn't begun to create rigidity.

You think its possible to wait? They recommend 10-14 days before fruiting, after you have mixed the mycelium colony into the fertilizer segment. although there is moisture in the bag, and if waiting an extra week is ok, i would most certainly opt for that.

Thank you for the quick reply, B+ btw, my old stand by.

Sorry this post got confusing, the video linked helps immensely, again dealing with a new tek, and its a little abstract.

If the grain is colonized, go to sub now and just  have minimal FAE to keep it from drying out while it colonizes. Should be fine for 3 days. But if the grain isn't colonized then wait. I don't know exactly what you mean by 75% colonized... And I'm unfamiliar with the Tek you are using. And first you said 3 days, then you said 3 weeks... which is it? I assume you meant the later... If that's the case, wait until you get back. 1 extra week should be fine. Maybe keep it a little cool in your room to slow it down?

Hey, Sorry for the confusion,

They are all in one bags, half grain spawn, half compost.

inoculation occurs on the grain spawn.

When the grain colonizes 75 percent, you mix it up really well in the bag and the mycelium becomes dispersed in the compost section.

Now the bag is limp. IT takes 10-14 days for the whole mixture to harden via mycelium growth.
And at the end of that time frame, you remove the hardened block from the bag and put it into your grow tub,

The confusion lied with should i let it sit another week in the grow bag(so instead of 14 days it would be 22 days), because if i proceeded with the fruiting process, there would be three days where  I would not be able to water it.
