Getting rid of the Price contract was great. The other guy, when their is no limit on what a team can spend as we all remember people throwing money on the floor of the stadiums can't win a championship.
Buy all you can Dodgers! You will always lose in the playoffs and win the division by 40 games.

Joc traded. Awesome! Angels outfield will be a amazing. Try to at least one game a year with them. Pitching is horrid but Trout is my favorite player in the League.
Will be interesting how he does there. As a sports fan I hate this time of year. All NBA, which I am a fan but nothing else with the NFL done.
Living in cold weather I hate January and Feb. Drink my way through it.

I am really exited that the Yankees acquired Gerrit Cole. I can't wait to see what that guy adds to our starting rotation in 2020!

Yeah, guy is amazing and will do much for the Yankees. Remember when Pittsburgh drafted him but small market teams can't keep the big boys. Just glad he is out of Houston, cheat even when you have that level of talent and don't need to.
He will do a lot more for the Yanks IMO than C.C. ever did as Milwaukee knew they couldn't afford him and basically pitched him like it was early 1900 baseball.

I completely agree on all counts. As for the Astros, what a disgrace! I am not a Houston fan, but I am so embarrassed for them. I hope you're right about Cole's contribution to the Yanks. They seem to have all the pieces now. Staring pitching, complete with an overpowering ace, a bullpen that, assuming performs like last year may be the best in baseball, and explosive hitting.
Now they just have to hit in the clutch, something they couldn't get done against Houston in the 2019 ALCS.

True. Might see that stadium for the first time this Summer. All vacations are off till this virus is done.
Last time I saw it was McGwire and Canseco days in the olden times. A's destroyed them of course. But loved the vibe. Want to see it and can plan for a Cole day. Will have to pay more like San Fran when Bumgardner pitches. Worth it.
Is amusing. Like attending a church seeing him and how this was their sacredness/holiness watching him pitch from the fans and the next day no one gave a shit with the pitching matchup. And it was like 9-7 or something.. But what can I say? He earned it but is still just a game. But what fun to see that.
Rockies fan but seeing their championship banners and statues of Mays and such and the area, is amazing. Am curious how New York, the team that matters has changed since last time being there.
This Superbowl was great and now just NBA for a long time. As a sports fan I hate this time of year. Winter and April is far off. Oh well, on with life.
Pills and alcohol. And soon medical marijuana here in Utah. Jazz. Life is OK. Time flies when you are having fun. It really does. Just end these shitty months as not a snowboarder or skier. Or Sundance fan but Park City is fun. ON WITH LIFE! Cole is 27 and durable. Feel fortunate to have him.

I agree. Spring training soon. Making plans for April and a vacation.
Amusing how pissed off MLB players are these players. Made me laugh Vegas made a betting prop over/under of how many pitchers will hit Astro players at 83.5.

Wow. They are thinking of starting the MLB season with all 30 teams residing in Arizona in hotels isolated but near the ballpark. Kind of made me laugh but also sad in a way. Been a long time since I missed opening day. And Spring here now.
Not to me overly sentimental, just an interesting idea but ridiculous at the same time. They say most revenue comes from t.v./network contracts and very little from gate revenue. Which anyone that has a cable bill knows quite well.
Will be interesting if they do this or not.

Well here is the 60 game schedule. No fans allowed. And I used to think that steroids was the worst thing in baseball with a * tied to it. Whatever. Realized and realizing more and more how big sports is in America. Financially. If they do play the games just don't have a d.j. pump in crowd noise or whatever else.

Strange, not going to see a baseball game in a year since a really long time. So watching a lot of the classics. And how idiotic I was not get roids since Jose came out about it with the league.
Fernando Tatis had 8 home runs total the year before. Then the best half inning in MLB history. Lol.

Sorry that was 10 cent beer night in Ohio. Disco destruction night was what I was thinking and Harry Carrey for some odd reason. Summer of Covid. Blah.
Seriously this was funny as shit. Nudists sliding into second base. At least he was smart enough to carry his clothes. God, 6 beers for 6 dimes. Used to a 12 ounce at games and paying 8 dollars for it.
Yes, I am bored. Climb a foul pole.

This snuck up on me because I don't have broadcast TV, but before yesterday's loss, the White Sox had won 22 out of 27.

God, I was really fucked up when posting that and you are right. That DJ is amusing to me.
Your White Sox are tearing it up this year. Surprising. Not to kiss ass but who saw that coming as a fan of the MLB this year?
Excuse my short term memory please with respect. Or not. Lol. I have never been so fucked up on substances since March and Covid.

Towlie was my favorite. I like the one where they went out driving on the backroads and were lost. Towlie said if they gave him another joint he would get his bearings. After he smoked it they said OK, where are we? He said wuh? What are you talking about?
The DJ, Steve Dahl was a local celebrity. He moved to this new subdivision in my home town that was by the quarries so he called it Bolingbrook by the Sea. He had a parody band called Steve Dahl and Teenaged Radiation. It was like Weird Al, but some of Steve's stuff was better. His version of My Sharona was Ayatollah.

Yeah, saw that one. Made me laugh.
This fucked up season and seeing the matchups blah. White Sox a number 2 seed, didn't know they did that well and was surprising but best to them. Think the Dodgers fuck things up and Kershaw sucks again but as much as I hate the Yankees, think they win it all.
Was watching a bit of a Mets game on Fox and I just want this year to be done and get on with Spring and a full season. This feels rushed and I will watch some games but my Rockies sucked as normal and just get rid of the fucking cutouts and fake crowd noise.
Everything just feels fake and forced.

They're talking about having 25% capacity fans at the World Series.

Wow. Marlins clinched a playoff spot today at 40-38. They really suck and are just winning because of resting players. They won't do anything in the playoffs and I got to see Josh Beckett pitch at a game in Denver. That still amazes me what he did in that world series before injuries took him down. And yes the Marlins won that game.
Marlins are going to be shit. One will see lines like -280 or more. Yankees this year of covid. I had a lot of plans this Summer like seeing some games among other things. Then I hear of other cancelled plans from people and everything is just, THE YEAR OF COVID!
Ready for the playoffs. Cinci, lol. I can't watch that shit.
