Am I immune to the shroom?

Hi. First post here. I’m hoping for a little enlightenment, so I would like to know if someone who has no experience with psilocybin can be immune.
Doctor put me on max dose of an SSRI about four months ago. I wasn’t happy with the results, so I weaned myself off of them with doctors approval. They have been out of my diet for over two weeks.
After much research on the benefits of psilocybin, both macro and micro-dosing, I decided I needed to try them. I’ve seen every medical psilocybin video on YouTube. Fadiman, Watts, Carhartt-Harris. I purchased an ounce of dried mushrooms from a trusted coworker, whom I’ve know for 25years. He’s been the go-to guy for as long as I’ve known him. Another friend later confirmed that they looked and smelled like the real deal.
As I’d never tried shrooms before, I wanted to go slowly. I first tried two full mushroom, with no results. The next day, I measured out 3.5 grams. A small handful. I ground it, then mixed it with warm water and lemon.
I drank it at 9am and retired to my happy place. After zero results, I decided to try another 3.5 grams at noon. No results at all.
At 5pm a friend confirmed that I was uneffected, and I decided to take a third dose of 3.5 grams. All doses were weighed on a very precise scale.
I had ingested precisely 10.5 grams (3/8 ounces) of Cubensis, and it had absolutely no effect at all. No intense colours, or tracers, or demons. Apparently I should have been tripping heavily by that point. I was truly hoping for an epiphany, or some type of answers about myself, by unlocking untapped areas of my brain, blah, blah...
I figured that if a macro was enjoyable, then I’d try microdosing. I don’t want to be on anti-depressants.
Sorry for the long wind, but thought I should outline things.
Anyone know why the shrooms didn’t effect me? Thanks very much.

My guess is a problem with your body ratherthan the shrooms, give it a few weeks and try again. Could give someone a gram and see if they feel anything.

Yeah, so it is gonna take some time for that to clear out. 2 weeks is way too short. I'd just hold off for a month or two and focus on clean living. Give it another go after that. Try a gram or two to start with, I wouldn't jump straight to 3.5g.

Yeah it’s ginna take you some time, dude, sorry. It took me 5 months off SSRIs before I tripped properly. I’d done 9g dry cubensis in a lemon tea with only minor effects. But these days, 4g is super strong for me.
So give yourself a couple of months, then take it careful.

Ok. Thanks. I had read that my Escitalopram had a half-life of about 30hrs, and 99% gone in 6 days. As I gave no experience with either, I do appreciate the advise.
Also, I'll try a lesser dose in a month, or do. I gave 'Buddy' the rest of the bag to sample. I just found it odd that after 10.5 grams, I had absolutely no reaction at all. Also used a bit of bud to coax it out. Thanks all!

You could potentially be more thorough with your mushroom tea preparation. Try a gentle boil 3x with fresh water each time. Then combine, and reduce to a manageable volume. Simply adding to hot water might not be enough.
My bets are that the effects of the SSRI's haven't subsided yet.

You dont need to do all that. Just boil fruits in water, reduce, strain(non cloth strainer!!) trip.
So easy a caveman could do it... wait.. they did.

I bet they just ate them, and then ate them again, and then... But yeah, boil those puppies, it won't harm the actives.
But wait longer for the SSRIs to wear off - it's not just the half-life of them in the body, it's the resetting of what they were doing to your brain and that takes longer.

Many Ssri’s have to build in your system for them to be effective so it probably takes atleast a month or 2 for it to go away. I’d just wait a bit longer before trying again.

SSRI is a powerful blocker of the Shroom's psychedelic effect. Its basically anti-psilocybin.
And from what Ive learned it takes a month or more for the mind to get rid of the SSRI drug before shrooms can have that much desired psychedelic effect in the person.

Thanks again to everyone who is offering advice. As a newbie in my mid-fifties, I was quite perplexed about why a massive dose didn’t even touch me. I guess SSRIs are more powerful at blocking than I thought.
I was only on them for a few months, but doctor worked me up to the max pretty quickly. I was trying to deal with PTSD issues after working full-time in emergency services for over 33 years in a major city. I walked away from work a month ago. Other than the mind-zombies pursuing me, I have a great life.
Upon retirement, I decided I did not want a lifetime of anti-depressants, but I can’t really outline a psilocybin plan to my doctor, and my peers have no knowledge of what I’m seeking.
I’m basically trying to ‘remap’ my mind, as I often ruminate about the uncontrollable, but know I can’t control the past. As I’m no longer dealing with tragedies and negatives, I figured this would be the time to try a macrodose, and continue with microdosing after.

You can outline a psilocybin plan to your doctor, BTW. There are numerous resources to draw from in terms of setting effective doses, regime, and so on from mainstream ongoing studies for PTSD and depression alleviation. If you happen to draw, er, extra benefits from this process what would be the downside?

There’s some good points above, OP. Great info that SSRIs actually take 4-6 weeks to start giving you a anti-depressant effect. Within those first few weeks, your likelihood of suicide actually goes up! But that’s not the point; if it takes 4-6 weeks for the effect to build up, then it must take a similar time to remove itself from your system.
Then you have to consider what dose you were on and for how long; both of which will affect how long you need to abstain from SSRIs before you can reliably trip. For example, I was told that the amount of time you take to wean yourself off SSRIs should equate to the length of time you were on them for. FFS, I was on 100mg sertraline for 7 years! I tapered off in 3 weeks! And I do not advocate anybody else tapers off so dangerously, without medical supervision! But no, getting to the point, it took me 5 months completely free of SSRIs before I tripped properly. Within the 5 months, I had taken 9g dry cubensis with minimal effects!
Give your self at least another month, and try again. But have a smaller dose, and take it all at once.
Good luck, DJ Ed

Also next time you try just do one dose or 2 doses within a hr and a half of each other. You can’t take doses hrs apart and expect it to hit you very well. If it doesn’t work off the first dose then I’d wait longer for your meds to disappear from your system.
