Sunlight and jars

So after inoculating Friday night I left my jars out at room temperature yesterday, but I forgot to close the blinds. Sunlight had been hitting my jars all day, not just ambient light, but most probably direct sunlight. Will this of affected anything or messed anything up since it has to be in a dark place? Or is the whole colonizing jars and light thing a myth? I'm just concerned how this could of affected my jars day 1 after inoculating...?

light isn't a bad thing...I'd be worried about the direct sunlight drying things out. Brf or grains jars?

Your fine, Iāve seen people who run āgrowing conditionsā 24/7 from the start. Meaning 12/12 light cycle even during colonization with no negative effects. Itās even said to speed things up a bit I think. As said just make sure it didnāt Dry things out or anything but the light is fine.

Grain, specifically millet. Is there a specific way to check if it made it completely dry out? That would suck if this has happened first day post inoculation

I'm concerned because it wasn't just ambient light, it was direct sunlight right from the window, and who knows how hot that direct sunlight got the jars. That would suck if this happened first day after inoculation. How do I check?

I was just thinking Iād be more worried about heat. Iāve had it be 72 in my grow room and had my SAB and shoeboxes be pushing 90 from sitting in the sun.
I donāt think you have anything to worry about though, worst case is probably it slowed a little.

Your fine. You have no UV damage to the mycelium because you said you knocked them up yesterday. Did you use agar or a spore solution?

Then your good. I have some BRF jars colonizing in the back yard. The ones with visible contams I moved into the sunlight to seeeeeeeee what would happen. Mold growth slowed but mycelium has not.
