People spend too much time learning about religions from followers of said religions. There’s also this mainstream view, similar to how people looked at weed back in the day or how there’s all these beliefs about acid and how it makes you orange juice. Not many people actually learn how to pick up the snake.

Martial arts is a good comparison. Take a look at all the people claiming martial arts, there’s a lot of hocus pocus bullshit in that, there’s a lot of people with a basic knowledge, and there are people who train hard (much fewer). There are people who use it for bad things, and there are people who use it correctly. It’s a broad spectrum. They’re both also life long paths that you spend time trying to ‘master’, there’s a gradual process.
They’re both a lot alike in a way.

The parable of the pissing man.
There came to be two men walking along a dry river bed, for it was the easiest path. As they walked the need to piss came upon them, and low, they stopped to piss. Their streams did flow and take up the flotsam and jetsam, along with the odd ant.
Later did they unknown to them in this path, feel the rush of water about them as an unseen downpour upstream made its way down the dry bed toward them, and one was swept away, much like the flotsam and jetsam and said ant.
Luck would hold with the swept one who came to lie upon a rock in the middle of the foaming torrent, who, later reunited with his friend, recalled the ant taken up in their pissing stream and verily did they feel they'd witnessed the power of GOD.
...and that Dolly Parton song brought me closer to nausia than all the drink I drank.

on the other hand...is lovely.

Very true, and I usually get along better with people like this than people who prescribe to an organised religion. I just don't believe/think that way personally.
God asks me very explicitly to learn from and have love for atheism, for science and for all religions, but to adhere to His plan for me over all of them, and He has shown me why, he has even bent the laws of physics just to show me He is the real thing, I (and thus YOU) are the real thing, and this world, this body, the circumstance, is just the simulation.
I can belch when I want to. Its my body, I can manipulate it. He can have me pull 4 coins out of a pocket that held only 2, this universe, it's His body, he can manipulate it.
Honestly, I'm really unsure how to respond to this.
How CAN you respond to it?
I don't believe in God, I live with God. I do things for God, God does things for me. God does things for me only a God could do.
We're close
Whats there to say if you havent experienced the miracles? "oh, wow, nice for you?"
If you go the extra mile for God, God goes the extra mile for you, and again and again and again.
God's a Giver, like the Sun, but God likes also to receive, like the Moon.
Ask not what God can do for you, ask what you can do for God.
You don't have to be some kind of biblical figure on a gold pedestal to have a personal relationship with God.
Work hard for God and God graces you with Mercy.
