growing moss in fruiting area..
    #26463448 - 02/01/20 11:06 AM (3 years, 11 months ago)

Im currently designing a 3mx3m fruiting area.. regular steel roof and partial roofing will be polycarbonate for lighting, this can be shaded at any given moment..

this fruiting area already has 2 cement walls the other 2 walling will just be wooden-framed plastic sheets a la greenhouses. 1 exhaust fan..

Im looking for suggestions. Im gonna be growing white oysters and greys initially..

anyway, one integral part of the design is a moss wall(given the abundant lighting i will be having from having a polycarbonate roof)..., I was thinking of setting it up to one of the cement wall. is it good to have a mossy wall in the fruiting area or is it a bad idea?

thanks for the future responses. I just signed back in for this. hehe

moss is not good. Plants are not good. They invite contamination.

The presence of contamination creates contamination. Your fruiting area should be beyond the threat of contams. Honestly, I dont see an advantage to having this. But It wouldn't be hard to do. "Moss Milk", Look that shit up, might be what you're looking for to make it happen.

its one of the most stupid questions ive thrown, i was thinking of conserving moisture and cooling the fruiting area at the same time while having a living wall to stare at while waiting for fruits to finish growing xD

but of course, in a mushroom fruiting area, other organisms are, in essence, contaminants ..

upon searching, nothing of interest came up from typing moss milk, ...

back to the lab.
