Using psychedelics to provoke thought and inspire writing, or change in life.

How do you use psychedelics? how did you come to use them? what psychedelics do you use? do you think about what you want from a trip before entering it? do you use psychedelics in public places? do you feel you can control yourself on psychedelics in public? how much would you be willing to take? could you sit at a coffee shop on shrooms? what would you think about? what would you bring? would you have headphones? what playlist would you use? would you use youtube? how many shrooms would you take? is that an appropriate thing to do? haven't you done it in another dimension before? what would the experience be like? how is reality different on psychedelics? are there some psychedelics I enjoy more than others? why is this? how do I integrate the experience the morning after a trip? the day after a trip? in weeks after a trip? do I always trip with a purpose? what is my general purpose of tripping? what do I gain from tripping? how do I know I gain anything from it? what makes the experience worthwhile? is it always fun? is it emotional? is it mentally challenging? how do I come out of a trip? what do I focuse on during a trip? do I find myself focusing on different things while tripping? what have I read about tripping that helped shape what I seek from the experience? who do I allow myself these experiences with? why do I find some people okay to trip with and others not okay? are humans soupposed to engage other humans or not engage other humans? should I only embrace like minded tripping individuals or should I seek to engage the unknowing public in sheeps clothing? am I a wolf in sheeps clothing? why do people not suspect me of using drugs but automatically suspect others? how does one gain intellectual capabilities? do I feel tripping makes me a better person? what about the tripping experience makes me a better person? do I use marijuana? do I use LSD what is the balance between the three? do I believe that marijuana allows for a mindset that prepares you for psychedelics? how is the human mind conditioned to accept drugs? why do we seek these experiences? how do you gauge moderation with drugs? are some people more capable of using more drugs with less effects? are the effects of psilocybin, lsd and THC safe to the human body? is it good to alter our conciousness? do these drugs alter our conciousness? how do they alter our conciousness? do I use them to enchance my concious? is recreational use of psychedelics okay? what is recreational use of psychedelics? what is the purpose of any drug use? are some drugs better to use than others? is this a personal thought? a legal thought? etc? Idk guys i'm just trying to get my mind into my thought loop and get it running, but what do you use psychs for? and any other questions or conversation around the experiences in your life.

Drugs, mj and mushrooms (haven't had lsd in 4 decades) are aids to enlightenment...short cuts to meditation at best. Nothing is handed to you except potential insights. You still need focus and self discipline to look deeper and improve yourself and your situation.

how do you integrate these experiences into your life? what disciplines? how have drugs improved your perspective on life? how has your situation changed since you first experienced them? why did you seek out these experiences?
I think using the words provoking thought and inspiring change make it pretty clear that work needs to be done afterwords.

it's quite alright I enjoy talking to myself. not all questions need answers, was hoping it would trail into new questions being asked and helping me inspire creative thoughts. but if it's too hard to read it's probably because i'm a bit insane and questioning everything right now as it's the format in which i'm currently writing.

maybe you are on a path of discovery,
I think the first thing you should discover is where the carriage return is on whatever device you typed that into - so that all your questions do not bunch up into a single over-dense blob.
as a single blob, one cannot parse easily your questions using any reasonable perspectives; instead, the whole thing needs to be patiently parsed into pieces, then those pieces must be associated into dependent and similar categories, and those can be combed into clear issues.
this process of grooming your thought to permit perspective to emerge will probably answer many questions, and possibly leave you with one or two that remain your true life's quest, and if you are on such a quest you will find meaning in that.

I'll reiterate my response from your other thread:
Quote:
Psychedelics are such wonderful tools for writing. Sobriety is a much better tool for editing and structuring, however.
Many of the most impressive thoughts I've had were conjured with the influence of psychedelics. But it took my rational brain to make them coherent.
These days, it's almost like I've got a rope ladder rigged up to that rabbit hole... dropping in from time to time to mine bits of crude insight to extract once I'm back up top.
There's a lot of bulk around the insights and enlightenments gained in the psychedelic realm. It can take years to get through the ore to the precious minerals.

This is officially my fav poast of all time now. Couldn’t agree more.
Even my deepest trips are only about 20% insights and revelations, and 80% giggling, thinking how weird my hands are or smthn like that.

I agree, it mostly just good ol' fun. But even in those silly moments, you might find somewhere down the road that something juts out from your memory that gives you a good insight into something seemingly totally unrelated. Sometimes the most simpleminded things can make you comprehend the most complex things. Breaking things down to 1+1=2 or fart jokes has its place in advanced understanding.

I’m definitely finding healing benefits from using mushrooms; but I would mainly describe my experiences as recreational. But it’s this stigma around the use of the term “recreational”. For me, 5 hours of the most amazing time of your life, every time you trip, well who cares if there’s a stigma. I’m learning to stop caring what other people think. Why get angry because of their ignorance. Why feed negative energy with negative thoughts?
Recreational is good for the soul. And god knows, shroomery, this fucked up society we live in warrants it! “Recreational” is making me feel happy for the first time in years, not “pleasure”, but “happy”.

I discovered early on that these medicines opened the doors of perception for me by providing an alternate view that got me out of my own head, hang ups etc. I learned to enjoy more things and to see through my bullshit and that of others. I learned how to be myself by focusing on the right things for me. These benefits didn't happen. I paid my dues, contemplating, meditating, reading, enjoying music,art,sex...a lot of things more...mostly my own peace of mind.

Low dose LSD for writing, music composition, or anything requiring pattern recognition. It allows me to “go meta” and poke ideas from new angles and come up with ideas that, while not always of high quality, are definitely original. These become kernels for later editing in a sober state.
Alcohol and weed are good for music too but in my experience not as good as acid or adderall. These days I’m pretty much sober though when I do creative work.

I have actually eaten shrooms at the coffee shop before and they didn’t have any noticeable negative effect. That was back when I smoked cigs while I had my coffee. And listened to music. Felt more like just an enhancement of an experience and got a little more into my iPad and the surroundings looked nice.
I am more of a homebody these days and I like to trip either on my patio at night with loud music and drinks. Or on the couch with a movie on my phone or something in TV like Science, Discovery or Travel. While this has also focused me with creative energies in writing even just on my notes. I feel in the zone with some creative writings
Standing in my back yard on higher doses in the dark listening to my headphones I have seen white orbs and strings of light when it was very dark Also the trees in my backyard seemed gigantic and had these were shapes of the tree with dark neon colors. Got me calling shrooms Neon Trees
