Agar not colonising

Hi all,
It's my first time doing agar and I've just made fruit transfers to agar a couple days ago.
They're looking a bit strange and I'm not seeing any mycelium growth. Is it normal for plates to look like this after a couple days?

Mind you, I purchased the plates from a lab as 'pre-sterilized nutrient agar plates' so I don't know the agar composition.
All work was done in a sterile environment underneath a flow hood.

You have a flow hood already but are still buying pre made plates? What are those supposed to be clones? Can't tell what's going on there but the first one in the first pic looks like it has something bad spreading some brown stuff. The agar could not have any nutrients it could also not have the right nutrients. Next time buy some petris and pour yourself some plates in front of that hood.

Yep they're supposed to be clones.
The agar is supposed to be for cultivating bacteria so it's weird not to have noticed any growth.
Guess I should have made the plates myself but was feeling lazy, didn't have the supplies and needed to make clones asap.

Yea something going on. Next time put the clone candidates in the fridge to buy some time. Im not familiar with bacteria agar recipes but im pretty sure it grows good on starving agar(no nutes). Probably whats going on but im pretty sure cubes will grow slow af on starving agar too. Give those plates more time but get your supplies lined up in the mean time. Message me if you need help figuring out what to order or need a agar recipe. I should be half way sober by tomorrow maybe.

I cloned some pins from agar recently and the growth was extremely vigorous as I've read is common for pinning or fruiting tissue.
The pin turned dark blue and black and then fuzzed up white and shot out mycelium.
What method did you use to clone?
Did you use any H2O2 or anything weird that may have killed the tissue?
What part of the fruiting body did you use to take tissue from?
Can you take some better pics with a small flashlight on it? If you put a flashlight low and hold the camera at an angle you can avoid the glare.
Edit: in the top photo, top dish- did you take cap tissue? Almost looks like dark spores have fallen around the specimen in that photo.
I recall the word is that one wants to take inner stipe tissue using a technique to limit tissue exposure to the air and therefore contaminates. Never done it, don't know more really. But searching for cloning teks by trusted cultivators should answer some questions.
