This is the second tub I have going, it was spawned a few days after the first tub. Looks pretty healthy to me but the growth on the fruits seems to be a little slow compared to average.

I'm very new so...are you by chance misting straight to the tub, or misting over, to allow mist to fall? I've read, if you point mist at pins they can abort.

Here is the third and fourth tub I have going, all with the same genetics but spawned a week later. The cracks are from me accidentally holding them from the bottom. I also have a fifth tub going with different genetics but he is still colonizing.

This is also what I have heard, but I am not misting them directly I do it very lightly and let the mist fall from the air onto the sub. I do not do enough to let it puddle I just do enough so it looks healthy. Just about four squirts. I have followed bods tek to the tee and have read it about 15 times now to check for errors in my ways.

How important is humidity with BODS UNMODIFIED TEK? I almost feel like I am not providing enough humidity to them.

Maybe stop misting if your sub is that dry try wetting the edges/ use a syringe etc? I’m still pretty new to this just my 2 cents

The reason I started misting was because I got a lot of side pins in the beginning. When looking at the side pins I noticed that the reason they were pinning is because it was wet down there and my sub was dry. So as soon as I started misting I got just as many pins on the top as I did on the side. I believe misting is important. Thank you for your input.

humidity numbers inside your tub, from what I've read and understand, dont mean much and seem to overcomplicate. It's the surface conditions that are important. That being said, surface conditions are the toughest part of this whole hobby, for me, so far.

Gotcha.... well is your sub at field capacity ?maybe try having it a little wetter or a casing/pseudo casing to help surface conditions and to avoid the misting?

This is what I was thinking, I am going have to do some casing research.

This is also what I have read. I am having a lot of trouble with surface conditions it seems. Thanks for your input.

Those tubs look contaminated and that's probably the reason for so many pins and also shit performance

All four? What measures can be taken to prevent contamination in tubs? The spawn was good. I read from one of your guides how tough coir was.

It was from bad spawn Sometimes the problem develops fast sometimes it takes a bit to show
