How much time has elapsed between planting the seeds and now?

If none have germinated, get rid of the soil and try again with sterilized soil (heated on low heat in the oven).

I've never had insect problems in germinating cacti seeds. What kind of soil did you use?

you have to use sterilized soil, or the bugs will eat your seedlings, mostly.

ok, i planted them about a month ago, i see nothing yet, the seeds were so small. I planted them in miracle gro cactus mix. I planted 3 seeds in it about 1 cm deep. I dod not sterilize the soil, thought it would be fine since it is pre packaged. guess not. also, how long should it take before i see anything?

thanks for the help guys

you should have seen something by now, has the soil been slightly moist this whole time? You can't exactly treat cactus seeds/seedlings like mature cacti at first.

www.cactus-mall.com/ccc/ is perhaps a fairly good tek to follow when mixing soil and planting cactus seeds in it.

Personally i never use commercial mix for seeds.
