Suspect bacteria in oat spawn jars

Hey Shroomery,
At first I thought this was just healthy mycelium, but after reading more it seems that sometimes the ropey thick stuff is signaling bacterial contam.
I suspect that is what we have here.
If so, would just casing the jars and putting them in an unmodified tub with a bit of water in the bottom be likely to yield anything?
Or just trash that shit.... I have several other jars going that don't have the same appearance so not desperate to salvage anything if it really doesn't seem worth it.

Instant Edit: Forgot to mention that I was reading and researching for like 4 days after I PC'd these oat jars before they received the agar wedges.. so thinking I waited way too long to use the jars after they were sterilized... oops.

From what I've read, the myc will stretch like that because of bacteria issue (I assume trying to get away). But I've also noticed myc bridging gaps, which imo healthy myc would do. I would think 4 days after PC is fine, seeing 1 jar could take 4 days longer to colonize, with no issues.
I'm a noob so take my thought for what it's worth.

Totally. I think the healthy rhizo growth should still flow nicely and not be too thick and tendril like. These jars have taken over a month now and were pretty difficult to break up.
After some reading, I decided to give them a good shake and see how they all recover. If they come back ok, I'll go to bulk in a tub. If not, I'll just top load some coir and see if something happens.
I read that someone sanitized their gloved finger with alcohol and smushed it into a petri dish and grew all kinds of bacteria. When I opened these jars to A2G, I think I got my fingers up under the lids when I was popping the metal lids loose.
Wondering if that split second on the rim of the jars was my flub.
Thanks for the input.
PS. Gmartini- just a suggestion- link to posts here on shroomery so we're drawing from and contributing to the same space. Not sure what's going on at mycotopia, but there's already too much here for me to wrap my head piece around. 😀

I think putting metal lids upside down so rubber ring is up is often done to avoid sticking/popping off. 2 piece metal lids are a pain, plastic one piece better.

Small detail I've overlooked so far.
But good call, and you're right. I just rewatched Bodhisatta's A2G video and noticed right away the ease with which both the flipped metal and plastic lids were handled. I think I got my fat finger under every single lid as I opened these jars with metal lids red ring side down.
Try, try again.
I have plastic lids and extra sfds. Will put some together later today. I can see myself knocking the metal lids off the jar with metal side down so the plastic is probably the way to go.
Thanks!
