'Drugs - without the hot air' by Professor David Nutt could be a good book to suggest too.

Thanks for adding that. If you look at any of my posts, I generally recommend that book.
It’s really weird, whether it’s synchronicity, or whatever.
But my whole life I’ve had this internal debate. My parents, school, peers, all advocated the horrors of drugs. So I had that. But then. I didn’t believe anyone until I proved it myself. So I rebelled and took drugs anyway. But my whole life I’ve been torn. Empirical personal experience has always backed up my beliefs, and current research is further backing up my beliefs, but always the shame and embarrassment of the black sheep of the family on his drugs.
But then I see David Nutt on YouTube, then read his book. And then the Brexit referendum in the uk. What I’ve always believed and stood by, the patriotism for my country, and falling into line as far as my government goes, we’ve been lied to all this time. And returning to psychedelics in 2016. Basically folks my reality has been shattered. It’s almost enough to drive you insane with anger and resentment, for the resentment I’ve been forced to believe for my whole life. He basically talks scientific fact only, not political or ethical slant, and you realise the sacrifices you have made for living in a safe society, is that you’ve been controlled and lied to your entire life.
Mushrooms though are helping me to still take positives and find contentment.
Love you all shroomery, DJ Ed

Stay positive, brother! In a way, we've won, in that we didn't believe them, and took drugs anyway - that's a win, my friend. I'd have missed out on loads of fun stuff - lucky escape!
It makes me angry, but I try to see the funny side, and just laugh at the silliness of it all. At school, they showed us a short, special drug-themed version of 'Minder' - this was in 1994 for fuck's sake! . Thanks for that, British State - don't provide me with actual information about the substance, I need my drug education to be delivered in the the form of decommissioned sitcoms about elderly wheeler-dealing wideboys! I reckon the tv exec at ITV must have been wired off his fucking trolley when he pitched that to the Department for Education

Great post, dude. Yeah some of the stuff at school was ridiculous. Laughing about it does seem the best medicine. Good vibes back at ya 👍🏻
