Yeah man.
Which reminds me of this series I was obsessed over a few years ago. Wilfred. Starring Elijah Wood. There's a, I think, Australian original version. But I prefer the US version.
The main character begins seeing his dog as a human in a costume who can talk, while no one else does. Super dark comedy, but very very cool, how I remember it. During that time I was in University still, and it was one of my favorite things to watch with my buddies while high.

Ragnarok on netflix. Huge gaps in the plot but alright I guess
6,5/10 cause its Norwegian and the scenery is nice

Have fun with that. That movie is fucked. It’s good but it’s absolutely insane. Not something I’d personally watch dosed. But that’ll be a trip you won’t forget lol.
I actually did watch the first half of it on a blotter
I still got the 2nd half of the movie left -- really was into it and wanted to finish it but I was sidetracked on some other things also going on at the time
Going to try and save it and finish it maybe whenever I dose again.
This guy btw...his character is such an epic goober lol

Bad idea.
I made this exact mistake also years back
Enter the Void is a guaranteed good vibes killer
Even though I guess it's not a horror film per se it sure felt like sitting through one on a nice dose of mushrooms
That movie is beyond dark. From the heavy incest vibes to that horrific head on collision in the tunnel to well, everything else, that movie on a dose is like riding out a 3 and a half hour nightmare
I still have it on blu-ray, it's somewhere in my closet and I don't think I'm ever going back down that disturbing rabbit hole again

Basically also a girl with schizophrenia who goes on a spiritual journey to become a shaman. Visuals are amazing.

9.5/10
I don't know what I'm doing with the scores
Seconded. I loved this. They renewed it for a second season

It might as well be a horror film. I've watched actual horror films on mushrooms before and had a better time Not only is it dark, but it's fucking long. It's such a shame because the cinematography really was pretty good - not good enough to make up for the rest of it though.

Yes you're absolutely right -- ETV is actually way more traumatic than the average horror flick. No question.

Yo, People Just Do Nothing is one of my all-time faves. I’ve been involved in DIY music scenes before, and knew a bunch of “legend in their own mind” types. Real life Grindahs and Beats, dudes who never left the 90s rave scene, even well into the 2010s. Very low grade hustlers like Chabuddy and burnouts like Steves, and all the rest. So that one really resonates with me. Plus, I genuinely enjoy garage and 2step music, so the whole thing is a perfect package for me. I’m glad you enjoy it- PJDN seems like it’s real hit or miss, and a lot of people just don’t like it much. But to me, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
Pirate-blues, I think I remember you saying you were into horses. Consider watching Horse Girl. It’s not really about that equestrian life, but the horse factors in symbolically in an important way. Really great movie.

Niffla, that’s pretty fuckin intense, acid + Midsommar. I loved that movie, and thought it was perfect sober. That’s some extreme movie viewing though, the way you did it. Jeezus.

Yeah I've tried showing it to a few people before, and it gets a chuckle or two, but no one really seems to get it all that much . I think it's seriously one of the most hilarious tv series I've ever seen
lol, as far as Horse Girl, I totally watched that shit like the moment it came out on Netflix. I liked it a lot, definitely something I'm gonna watch again.
And yeah, I'm a recovered horse girl . I was never as crazy as the stereotype, but I know a fair share of really intense plausibly insane horse people, so I jumped on that one as soon as I saw the trailer.

So is Midsommar super fucked up or something? I have been into Netflix productions from Scandinavian countries lately but I'm not sure I want to see it if it's super disturbing.

Oh I guess it's not a Netflix production, they don't have it on Netflix in Canada.
Most recently I have been watching Quicksand, which is about a school shooting. One of those deals where a lot of it is flashbacks of backstory and you piece together what happened. Pretty watchable, 6/10.

I watched Midsommar on Amazon. It’s not “fucked up” like Salo or A Serbian Film, but it’s dark (thematically anyway, the imagery is actually bright and colorful for the most part) and intense. It’s made by Ari Aster, who also made Hereditary. He’s not into happily-ever-after endings. I’d really recommend it.

Well to be fair I didn't make it (yet) to the part where things go south. Which I presume is right around the corner. They just got there to the commune and finished up their trip they dosed right off the bat when they got there.
But yeah I got another trip planned in roughly a month when I take a vacation week that I have to burn before I lose it, and I think I'm going to keep myself from finishing Midsommer until then.
Think I'll wait until the back half of the trip to finish it though -- because I can already tell it's probably not something I want anything to do with on the come up or on the peak

I like it though. Enjoyed what I saw of it. And tell you what though man some of the camera work I've seen already in it -- really impressive. One trick in particular where they're driving and the camera slowly rotates upside down and you're seeing the world as they drive flipped -- sounds simple or easy the way I try to describe it but that had my jaw on the floor while I was tripping. That was really cool.
