TV series Dark
in my top 2 for sure. GoT being the other (despite the shitty ending).
Dark is absolutely perfect from start to finish
watch with subtitles, not dubbed

Dark - really liked this one too. Subtitles all the way!. (Netflix) Marco Pollo - is another good one in my book. I can’t believe more people haven’t seen it. It’s on par with GoT. (Also on Netflix) Black Sails - I loved it, about the same level as GoT....good stuff, it got overlooked by many IMHo. Hell On Wheels - another awesome one about an outlaw and the building of the trans railroads , a modern western (Netflix) Deadwood - this one is fantastic. Big fan of Ian McShane. Damn good show. Vikings - another good one...(think it’s on Netflix but can’t remember...) The Expanse - the best sci-fi show to come out in a looong time, imho. (Amazon Prime show) Star Trek: Deep Space 9: Epic sci-fi show from the 90s - wholesome and covers a vast amount of topics related to the human condition. (also on Netflix) Into The Badlands - awesome lite fantasy & adventure mature series about various opium drug lords & their armies of soldiers trained in various martial arts - all of whom are vying for control & power in a post-apocalyptic world. (On Netflix) Dark Matter - an intriguing Sci-fi mystery adventure thriller (Netflix) The Magicians-fantasy series - like Harry Potter but on psychedelics & geared towards adults and set in the real world. Fun, mind bending, trippy!.(Netflix) Cobra Kai - #1 series on Netflix atm. Fun & wholesome continuation of the karate kid - I loved it. Reflects & speaks to American society’s current state skillfully & pretty fairly. Neon Genesis Evangelion - best watched with English subtitles - animated series , sci-fi, fantasy, coming of age, lots of symbolism & a lot of action, mecha. (Netflix) Erased - awesome mystery anime , one of the very best imho. Best with English subtitles. (Netflix) Sens8 - trippy show that I remember being pretty good (Netflix) From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series: Horror & Mystery Vampire show...good amount of Mexican & pre Mexican lore & myth to go with the story. Good stuff. (Netflix) Tientsin Mystic - best with English subtitles, Chinese show, I really dug it...but can’t remember a ton bc I watched it yrs ago. (Netflix) Mind Hunter - epic show about the FBI & the process that lead to today’s methods of catching serial killers. Based on a true story.(Netflix) Altered Carbon - good sci-fi, mystery, adventure fantasy series, top notch production (Netflix) Bates Motel - creepy horror show! (Netflix) Wild Wild a Country - epic documentary about inside the world of the commune of Shree Rajneesh aka the spiritual cult leader “Osho” and how that whole thing unfolded, starting in India all the way to the USA - and how it culminated in the attempts to mass poison a city in order to win an election. (Netflix) Death Note - good Dark horror anime series, best with subtitles (Netflix) Berserk - another good dark fantasy & action & horror series , best with subtitles. (Netflix).
All of the aforementioned shows id rate anywhere from 7-9 out of 10.

Fathers and Daughters - 8.5/10
A little melodramatic but simply beautiful
Amazon prime has it
Transplant - 9.5/10 this is a medical drama about a Syrian war doctor who becomes a refugee in canada and lucking his way into becoming a doctor there. It is very very medically accurate and the drama part is superb

I really, REALLY hope they do a third season. And honestly I have no idea why on earth they wouldn't. It's rated extremely positively by the critics, and more importantly, as far as I know it was a success when it came to the viewership numbers.
Yet this was reported earlier this year:
Quote:
On January 15, 2020, Netflix told TVLine that Mindhunter season three is on indefinite hold (not technically cancelled – just that the cast and crew were released from their contracts – though realistically, the chances of reassembling them in future are slim.)
And if it doesn't happen (a third season) then all the foreshadowing cameos of the BTK killer in season 2 will have been for nothing.

Aladdin--7/10 It got corny in places and the will smith genie was not too good, but it was fun and really neat to see on mushrooms. At least they didn't hip hop it up like some movies do now. Will kept his hip hop roots in there, but the rest was OK.

The Midnight Gospel - 10/10
The art of Pendleton Ward is amazing here. The conversations that the show carries on are deep and engaging. I can't wait to see more of this show.

Loph, I SWEAR on everything I watched Coneheads last night. Am NOT kidding.. guess it's a common one?
Just got done watching Star Wars in chronological order for the first time. Really gave good perspective, noticed a couple things never before- as a result of the transitions between trilogies. Star Wars cannot be quantified into a rating, imo. But Rise of Skywalker was such a let down. So sloppy and rushed.
On to Mandalorian, heard it's good?

Yeah, I just finished Madalorian and thought it was really good. It's basically a bounty hunter with a baby Yoda. It would be hard to mess that up. It's the only Star Wars I have liked sine the first 3.
Coneheads is awesome! I forgot how many famous people are in that too. It's funny the people with the smallest parts are now way more sucessful than the people with the major parts. Like Spade, and even Sandler is literally worth a billion. Sinbad or Akroyd are basically out of work now.
Right now I'm watching Away. It's not great, but I haven't really given it the best chance yet.

True Blood was pretty decent(good- entertaining at least.
I’m trying to remember some other series mainly centered on mythical creatures like Vampires,Werewolf’s, Ghosts, Aliens, Etc etc. Here’s what I’ve seen at some point. All monster/sci-fi/fantasy/myth/lore/creatures, etc etc...
Haven comes to mind True Blood used to be on Netflix, maybe still is? Idk... Blade (movies & series) Underworld (multiple movies) On Netflix Castlevania (animated series) On Netflix American Horror Story , loved this show. On Netflix Supernatural (regular series & anime series) On Netflix Hemlock Grove. (Series) On Netflix October Faction (series) Lock & Key, loves this one too. On Netflix Van Helsing, (series) on Netflix The Walking Dead, (series) on Netflix From Dusk Till Dawn (series) on Netflix The Originals (series) on Netflix Teen Wolf (series) Being Human (2 versions of the series: One is British and the other is American - both very good!) Between (series) On Netflix Diablero (series) on Netflix Ash vs Evil Dead (series) On Netflix The Witcher (series) Big thumbs up! on Netflix The Magicians (series) Great one for those who love magic & monsters and quests. On Netflix Penny Dreadful (series) on Netflix The Frankenstein Chronicles (series) on Netflix Midnight Texas (series) Grimm (series) Lotsa monsters from myth & lore throughout history Warehouse 13 (series) Government conspiracies and secrets & alll that jazz StarGate: SG 1 & StarGate: Atlantis ( 2 series) I loved these. Covers so much, sorta cheesy and didn’t age the best....but I love it. It’s got a bit of everything! Star Trek: Deep Space 9 -and- Star Trek: The Next Generation -and- Star Trek: Voyager (series) on Netflix

I started watching "Borgen", this political thriller type series from Denmark. Looks pretty decent so far.
Warehouse 13 was filmed in Toronto. Saw trucks set up for one of their shoots once near the zoo.
Alphas was another show that shot near there. With that one I saw the actual scene set up. Ambulance crash.
