Are these done for?

I have a few 3lbs bags of gt going since Dec 4th. I mixed them up after about 2-3 weeks. However, they have stalled and have seemed to slow down. The temp was pretty much a constant 78-80 the whole time with help from a heating pad. There may have been a day where it got up to 82. I think most of them are done for minus a couple of bags that still look dry. There is a lot of condensation in the bag. My biggest fear was that the area would be too cold and now I feel that I overdid it. The pics will tell the story. I think the first pic that looks pretty wet is all bacteria. The second picture is a bag from the bottom. It's fully colonized except the dry bottom. That one might still be good. The last pic is dry but again stalled.

Thanks for all the help!

Not sure if number 3 is as certainly trash as the first 2 but will probably look trash by the time it's done. You can fruit with bacteria but not sure I'd bother with that much material.

Thanks! The one that has the bottom uncolonized is just uncolonized at the bottom, and the rest looks really nice. Do you think the temp was my problem?

Heating pads do nothing but fuck things up. Incubators suck too. Heat the room the grains are in, and not the grain directly. For bags, temps 65f - 70f is fine.

The heat pad was probably 2 inches under and the bags were in a large plastic tote. I had the digital thermometer inside.

I'll invest in a thermometer switch or something. I think my next batch is going to be in homemade jars, I'm just nervous I'm going to F%$# that up too. What type of bacteria is stopping the colonizing? If I tried fruiting even the best bags, am I just going to grow the bad bacteria as well?

What kind of bacteria? Who knows. They're all bad for grain production is all you need to know. Fucking up is how you learn to do better the next time. Take that heating pad and throw it in the trash. This improve your chances of success next time.

The room is probably in the high 60's (67/68) most of the time since its winter, maybe 71/72 on good days

Your temp without heat mat is exactly where you want it. You put effort into making worse conditions. Less is usually more !

i cant tell 100% for sure on the middle one but im almost willing to bet $$ that the other 2 will not produce anything as i think they are too far gone. they are extremely slimy n soaked in bacteria ridden goo that wont even colonize completely id toss them n start over like others have said absolutely no heat mats n shit that just makes conditions rite for what you have now. especially if ur shooting spores in there. id look into agar also itl increase your chances of pullin off a grow by a ton

1 has definately got a bacterial infection.
BUt wait, you can still make this work. Shake them all and put them on a shelf for a few days, (I suspect the syringe is the culprit) Once they recover (if they do) then simply shoe box each bag with some coir and verm in a small container and fruit those bitches. You might lose the battle to mold, but you also might get a few mushrooms.
