I sometimes hope for nightmares * 3
    #26455331 - 01/27/20 02:27 PM (4 years, 20 days ago)

Even nightmares are better than no sleep at all.  Oh listless insomnia.  Just laying there, consciousness in suspension as if it's a puppet ov the mind dangling above the black lagoon ov dream and writhing to positions never comfortable enough.  Spare me the torture and sever my tethers with the pirate's sword.  Let me fall ever deep, sinking like a treasure chest to the bottom and embedding itself in the silt that covers me in encapsulating blankets.  Emeralds, rubies, pearls, and gold locked within, the boundless potential ov my imagination internalized for no one to see but me.  No one out to sea, but me.  Dreams ov the gilded fountain ov youth or night mares stampeding through the valley ov death, it is ov no matter.  Let them cast dancing shadows within the treasure chest ov imagination to the soular glow ov the inner flame.  Shadows that no one can see, but me.  Shadows that will vanish into the whitewash ov a crashing wave as the puppet washes up on shore next morning's wake.  Next mourning's wake on the sure ov reason.  But let there be sleep, let there be nightmares, and let there be dreams!  The insomniac puppet is the hanged man that dangles inverted over the black lagoon getting burnt by the moon.  Time forgotten is a treasure well spent.

If you cant fall asleep in 30 minutes. The get up and clean your house then try again.

I have found that the idea of cleaning my house makes me very tired haha.

Seems silly but with matters of the mind like insomnia, little mental tricks can be very helpful. You just got to figure out what tricks work for you.

Nightmares can be vivid and beautiful, though. I find them weirdly gratifying, in a way, but maybe I'm just a masochist

I feel the same way about sad movies. Even thou a movie can make me sad, the feeling of being sad from the movie itself is a wonderful and powerful feeling. Perhaps its the high of going thru the emotions....

I once had a lady friend that loved horror movies. I once said to her "You must really love nightmares then" she said "Hell no! Nightmares are terrifying!".

I was like :whattefuck2:

I have watched a LOT of horror movies and still watch a good amount, they never seem to give me nightmares either. I did see a lot of bad things growing up though, and even saw a dead body pulled from a car in august, in Texas, it had been there  a couple of weeks. another story there though.
