Seems really small.
You could build a much larger one for that price.

Yes I know. Have more $ than time. Small is all I think I'll need for my operation.

The reviews look good but I don’t fully trust the Midwest site..
I’ve been looking for a compact one too, if anyone has any input on this unit it would be much appreciated.

sockadin the link isn't a kit it's a tiny flow hood
Frank if you've got more $ than time get yourself a flow hood you'll actually be able to use efficiently, and won't need an upgrade should you need a bit more space. think you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't. 12x12 is really not much room to work with considering a quart jar is already 7" tall. plus - the one you linked is out of stock anyway.

That's too small. The size of your operation isn't really relevant. Can you even have more than on petri at a time or grain jar in front of that? lol

I need a small one, I don’t have much space to work with.
The main supplier might have it in stock... https://bonsaiflowhoods.com/products?olsPage=products%2Fbonsai-laminar-flow-hood
With the cost of shipping and duty tax to get it into Canada, it’s not worth it for me.. it’s nice to think about tho

I run a 12x12 inch FH. It's only good for small genetic/grow work. No way I could work with in those plexi side skirts.
I can only work with 3 jars(fits my needs) at a time. You would get frustrated very quickly if you are running bulk. I used to have a 24x24 inch FH back in the day. Didn't realize how much more freedom I had then.

I think I seen this thing on youtube.

Just build one. Here is a 12x24x12 99.994% metal frame filter for 100 bucks. Mine is same brand 99.999 for 40USD.
New old stock. Don't buy anything wood(not leak tested), and make they show you a pic of the SCAN test label on it.

I may have to go for a 24x24 eventually if that’s the case.. if I can find the room for it

Yeah that 12x24 inch filter I posted for a 100 is more realistic then my 12x12.
