Bill Oreilly's Asante/Amanita mixup in the Nipsy thread was probably the most awkward/ughh moment Ive seen here.

Bring up the negatives is fine but there's a point where it's beating a dead horse and in poor taste

Man you really have a deep hatred for them don't you. You know I like ya Rex but the level of disdain you have for a bunch of people who have absolutely zero impact one way or the other on your life is a tad much I'd say. Ease up there bud, they're not gassing human beings and bombing hospitals...they just play athletic games on tv

Well, I do get really harsh on pro sports. Let me ask what they have done for you on a personal level? I would say they have zero impact on your life as well. Meh, I'm cool, just expressing my thoughts on the matter. I do not watch or support them in any way shape or form. I do watch and support the movie industry, and we all know they are the same in many many ways, so I am being a bit hypocritical. BUT, a movie can change the way someone sees life, bring them out of a depression (or put them in one, lol), actually change a persons life. I do not think watching a pro ball game can do that, but like I said there's evil, much evil in hollyweird! I like you too man! to all!

Absolutely correct. I did really love being a fan growing up -- so I did get a lot of entertainment/enjoyment out of it, but on a real world personal level, they've done zero for me. I never claimed that they did.
I don't know Kobe Bryant personally so no I didn't lose sleep about it, nor get emotional about it. I do feel awful for his family and friends, though. Particularly his wife, who just lost her husband and daughter in a virtual blink of an eye.
I've just seen you before get worked up in other pro sports related threads. All I'm saying is, I think it's pretty unfair to assume that they're all horrible human beings just because they play sports and get paid for it.

In life sports like football for example have really helped inspire me one example is there's situations where it's 4th down in life and you have the option to punt or if you're confident enough you can risk a big loss by being confident in yourself. Another thing is a lot of true sports legends are known best for not giving up and creating a comeback through determination. Not to mention the understanding of the level of teamwork and how it can benefit you as much as everyone else.

Now I never said he was a horrible human being (all have faults) and I never said I was glad he was dead, I just stated how I feel about pro sports namely football, basketball, and baseball in particular.

There's plenty of real estate in a less fragile and hostile territory.
