Hey guys! Need a quick ID for these ones, I think they're p. cyans but need a second opinion. Picked from cow dung in SE QLD, AUS. Bruises dark blue, spore print is black.
Thanks!

it looks like it has had bad sun damage, it is possible it could be a p, cyan but I would wait for a T I I'm don't think I would risk it though.

I would say they're definitely active. But we'd need to see the gills for a proper ID

I agree. Panaeolus cyanescens is likely.

Yup, Panaeolus cyanescens group, I never see them here looking like this, would love to scope a few and compare to our local variety which are always white.

Also a note, the one in the third picture was growing under the other two so I'm guessing the blackening on the cap is from the spores of the others.

Sun damage will never be a factor. It's natural drying out. You'll only have to worry about them being water logged and rotting

Do you think they are safe to consume? (as they are different to ones you've seen before)

they are absolutely safe and hallucinogenic lol
i believe doc was just referring to them being more of a tan cap and could be some variation or different species like panaeolus tropicalis or something.
they are most definitely copelandia.

Panaeolus and Copelandia are the synonymous.
Edit: yes they are safe, they look different than the what I see because of where they are from in the world.
