Mycelium turned blue after heating
    #26452913 - 01/26/20 03:54 AM (4 years, 21 days ago)

Hi!

I'm on my first grow, and so far the first batch looks pretty good
I have a few jars waiting, and yesterday I inoculated one of the jars of grain-spawn into a monotub. Before I did this, I used a glove-box to do a grain-to-grain transfer to a new jar (in 4 jars with g2g-transfer I've had no problems). The lid was so tightly locked (I have GE holes in the jar) that I had to heat the lid to get it open. In this process the mycelium that was most exposed to heat turned blue. I still used this spawn to inoculate my new monotub, and do a g2g-transfer. Will this cause any problems with the inoculated monotub, and the new jar that got the transfer?

Thanks for any input! Shroomery is the best site on the entire internet

Shouldn't cause too many problems, as long as it was clean, it shoild still be clean.

I tap the the lid rings / bands with a heavy utensil when lids are tight.
