First time Hunting - Please help identify - Thank You!
    #26450144 - 01/24/20 02:26 PM (4 years, 24 days ago)

I found this a couple of days ago and would appreciate the help in identifying them.

They were found in a patchy grass with sandy soil in the North of Florida.

Their texture is kind of hard I believe from being dried the low temperatures that hit us a week ago.

Could not discern any smell although they had a rotten appearance.

There were a few mushrooms of its kind around near a tree.I have to go back to try and identify the kind of tree it was.

Very cool Purple Base!!
Welcome to the Shroomery! :mushroom2:
Its a bummer it is so dry, makes it way harder to Identify.

I have seen some old dry Laccaria amethysteo-occidentalis that had turned brown and still had a purple base like that. However the gills are not usually as decurrent as the specimens in your photos :super:

It might be Cortinarius iodes. Just really weathered.
It kinda looked like Pseudoomphalina but I’m pretty certain it’s not.

Good call Doc. Laccaria trullissata is a dead ringer for the pics above.
