Shoeboxes with liner
    #26450841 - 01/24/20 09:24 PM (4 years, 5 days ago)

So, after many shoeboxes and many side pins, I decided to try and give a liner a chance. I harvested my fruits from first flush.. now I have added a liner for the second flush. Has almost been 7 days since I dunked my subs.

But, I am now using garbage bags as a liner. The garbage bag goes over the lip of the shoeboxes. I usually have always snapped my lids shut because they're not airtight and it seems to help keep it from drying out too fast.

But, now that the liner is over the lip I'm almost nervous to snap the lids shut because I feel like they will not be getting enough oxygen. Just wondering if people still do snap their lids with a liner (I was too lazy to cut and trim).

I've kind of been leaving the lid off a tad bit, but they're drying out too fast esp due to the winter months and the heat constantly being on.

Thanks for any input!

Not sure a liner is going to prevent side pins on a second flush.. the reason a liner works for first flush is because the one side of the bag becomes attached to the substrate and shrinks with the sub so there isn’t any gap there.. once you pull that bag away and make a gap, side pins are almost inevitable.. ilbut I hope that’s not the case for ya.

I’d say cut and trim and then you won’t have to worry about it.. takes all of 3 mins

Lmao yeah you're right. Was crunched for time and just stuffed them in the garbage bag and tossed the sub in.

When I get off work tomorrow I'll go about that.

And oh for sure. I understand what you're saying. Makes sense. I'll try it out and see what happens. Thanks for the advice my guy.
