If you don't see any this winter you will in the spring.

Yeah... has mixed reviews. From my understanding they have a few dozen people at a time, so it's not a very personalized experience with lots of guidance for first timers. However, the staff is said to be very friendly. Take all of this with a grain of salt though, as I've never been myself... just what I read when I was looking into it a while back.

I've got an out of state friend coming from up north and so I'm going to be taking him out on Sunday morning, I believe this will be his first hunt in FL and I believe it's going to be memorable. I'm going to bring some oyster plug spawn and my drill and inoculate some logs along a path I hike. Will be fun and I will check on them and update him; this makes me remember I need to get some wax!!!

AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals
Will be attending this year, looking forward to seeing what I can find in the area, haven't hunted Gainesville but I know there's some nice spots down there.
1st time my brother and I have ever had the chance to spend this much time together, can't wait.
Anyone else going to the races?

Gainesville is good huntin when the weather is right. Been really dry lately though. It’ll rain but immediately after the humidity drops to 40% for a week straight.

gainesville is great for hunting! the weather is qterrible for hunting at the moment, though....i hit my favorite pasture and left with 3 cubes and a cyan after 2 hours. we need one good solid rainy day to get the conditions back on par.

Been cool and misty for the past two days but I don’t know if that’s enough moisture to stimulate fruiting as it hasn’t really, properly rained

pasture lands are the best bet actives, cubensis and pan. cyanescens, Gymnopilus would be next, if you are around lake worth or palm beach ovoidiocystidiata has been found.

yeah buddy!! florida is packed to the gills with cow & horse pastures. it is not hard to find a good one. any north of orlando-ish right now is dormant for about another month, where things slow to a crawl and you're lucky to find a handful of em. mid march, things should pick right back up full swing as long as weather cooperates.

Last year I had some of my best 200+ gram hunts in February.
This year has been awful. Every time it rains it is immediately followed by weeks of bone dry weather. Today is the second straight day of rain here so perhaps there might be some fruiting this weekend but I doubt it. Need many consecutive days of high moisture to coax the mycelia out of hibernation I guess.

some from yesterday, remember, this little cold snap will slow down growth but not stop it, keep looking.
