Bruising after dunking.

Is it normal for a cake to be bruised badly after a dunking?? 100's of small pins had to be removed after the first flush so the cake was handled quite a bit and when it was taken out after the dunked it looked very blue from bruising.

yes its normal,it will recover in a few days and become mostly white again.Dont worry.
