Looking for a trip sitter/therapist in Seattle
    #26449187 - 01/24/20 12:40 AM (4 years, 5 days ago)

Hey. I have PTSD and am looking for someone to work with long term. I dont like to trip alone and I need the experience. I dont have any friends either. My PTSD comes from childhood trauma. I'm not looking for someone to trip with. Just someone to guide me through and maybe even encourage me to feel my feelings. I'm not interested in anyone or thing affiliated with MAPS.

Thanks!

The shrooms will guide you through yourself teaching you what you need, good or bad remember you'll get what you need not what you want.

Sounds like you need a buddy for recreational tripping which is enjoyable and the synchronisation between you and your trip buddy will blow your mind.

You said you don't like tripping alone so I guess those experiences didn't make you more confident about it or still afraid of something?

I hate being around people when I trip. I eat mushrooms to help me fix all the fucked up shit in my head. The way I see it another person can't help you anyway so just cut them out. Once you get used to the mushroom headspace you can work your way up to higher doses. I find the best stuff happens around 40 grams wet with my cubes. You don't need help. The mushrooms will teach you that your all you need.

i agree they will help you once your combfortable with the dose to just let it go where its going!....i have been a addict 1 way or another my whole life. years of thereapy used to ask why i started...i could never figure this out...one day a long time ago i planned to only go light things came on more than expected so just sat down and went with it.....by the end i figured out EXACTLY why i started getting high so young....sometimes it will force it on you. trust in your own brain and mushrooms to get where you need to go!

For me if i wanted a therapy session kinda trip it would be alone anyway. i wouldnt want someone guiding it in any paticular direction the mushroom spirit will do that a whole lot better on its own...but again if you arent completely combfortable with them yet start at low doses and work up slowly its not a race!

Thanks for all of your replies. I have thought about cutting out the sitter. I hate tripping around others because therea that need to maintain composure for me even when on the inside, I'm falling apart... much like I am right now, years after trying again and again. My trips are dark. I feel like the shrooms bash my head down on a desk, and I see over and over again, how ugly people are and sometimes how ugly I am.

I'm just scared.

Take a break...then start with lower dose get used to that first...maybe if you saw a therapist...then when you do decide to trip bring those questions and intentions you work out with the therapist with you and try and figure them out....but really if you already have ptsd TRUST ME ON THIS a bad trip can make it worse! some things in trips we can NOT un see or forget wich can add to the ptsd...i have stoped tripping for now just because of that

for anything I'd rate going out into nature. Just hanging about with nobody around only animals and trees and funky plants. Who knows you might even get an encounter with a forest spirit, or elves. Even a the odd conversation with a curious deer can be very meaningful. You'll find and see everything, it may look like from your perspective that there is no redemption, no freedom, from yourself and others. Nature is what teaches you differently. You just need to look elsewhere onto different plains. Your current setting may make it difficult to see the possibility of adventure.

At the end of the day you might feel like spoon in a stack of forks. It is important to remember that we aren't spoons we can fuck off to wherever we want.

I heard that one good thing to do is get a dog, dogs are good therapists i hear.

If you have PTSD, it sounds like a very good idea to have someone with you to guide you through the experience.

Can I ask why you are not interested in MAPS?

I agree - nature is the ultimate teacher, far beyond any single person. We can abandon these egotistical cognitive behaviors where we get stuck focusing on memory loops and engaging in depressing and stressing. Misery of all kinds is a habit that becomes laughably absurd when we stop and absorb the natural world. I also find taking a slow walk through a graveyard to be very healing, as is puts trauma in perspective. All things shall pass . . .

yes some people may frown but I agree with that, especially around where I live we have some age old graveyards from forgotten times. I once found a grave from the fifteenth century not too far from my house. Quite interesting indeed.
