Habitat: grassy cow pasture under mature trees in cow dung.
Gills: see photo - dark and close together
Stem: varied length and width
Cap: mostly white - very dome shaped
Spore print color: black
Bruising: bruises blue but takes a while and the bigger ones bruise lightly
Other information: Ther is one photo with the whole haul then three separate photos that show what I think are 3 separate types of mushrooms? Or they may all be the same. really hoping the big ones are cyan haha! massive!

The ones that bruise an obvious blue are Panaeolus cyanescens. The ones that don't are Panaeolus antillarum.
Apart from that, your pictures are too small to discern the finer details. You should upload some that are of a much higher resolution.

1st two pictures are Panaeolus antillarum, notice how beefy they are compared to the ones that bruise bluish. Look at the Antillarum and cyanescens pictures in my gallery, pay attention to the sizes and the colors of the stems and you will see a difference.

Thanks for the help! I've looking into the Panaeolus Antillarum, can believe how similar they are.
I've attached some higher res photos, didn't realise they were so small.
There are really only 2-3 that are bruising blue which is a bit of a bust from initial hopes haha.
Cheers.

Thanks Doc,
Had a look through your galley, amazing work! Very difficult to tell the difference between the two for my novice eye, but I can see they are almost more dense than then Cyanescens, which rules out most of the bigger ones. I've uploaded some bigger images, as far as i can tell I've only got maybe 2-3 Cyanescens?
Cheers!

I'm looking for a little bit of help. I'm very new to the hobby and I'm not quite sure where or when to look for our little helmed friends. I have a basic under standing of which environment I'm looking for but I'm uninformed of when, I'm in the NSW area and hopelessly uncertain if hunting this time of year is the right idea. A nudge in the right direction would greatly appreciated.

I seem to be missing some pictures, but while I'm waiting for my brother to have his ass scoped I will try post some pointers for recognizing cyanescens from antillarum. The more you handle the 2 the easier it is to tell them apart.

I had made a video I had deleted it but I'll do another, the one with the spoon, top row small one, closest to spoon looks to be one I'm not positive but there seems to be some bluing but its definitely an older one.
The first picture looks to have 3 in the center but all those big ones just skip they're very fine almost like that super fun chinese noodles that's white but semi crunchy when new like a wet mushroomy celery. Just keep at it now you know what Antillarum are for sure now just don't take those. Hopefully you will find good luck soon and get some fresher specimens. Also you took a lot better photos the second time don't forget to snag some habitat shots

Thanks mate, I ended up keeping a couple small ones that were obviously blue and tossing the others. Ill go for another hunt this weekend now that its becoming clearer what I'm looking for.
Seems to be ideal weather at the moment so just gotta find the right patch. Cheers!

In FL the cyans are smaller,thinner,lighter/creamier colored, and the caps arent bell shaped usually..pan paps/pan ants i usually see sticking out because they are bigger and beefier..u hold the cyans in ur hands enough times ull pretty much be able to tell right away...i will say the cyans look taller out there tho in AU tho...
