Hi there, I'm going to be planning my first trip in the near future. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? I was thinking about going here with my wife who will also partake: https://www.freycinetlodge.com.au/blog/coastal-pavilions-design.html Would this be a good place for a first timer? Thanks, BonkeStrudes.

Welcome mate!!
I would suggest that the comfort of your own home would be a far better location for your first trip. Too many unknown variables at a place you're unfamiliar with. Maybe fine much further into your tripping career but play it safe at first.
Always remember - set and setting - get those nice and safe and you're pretty much guaranteed a good time.
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Whoo, that place looks awesome!
Home is the safest, and I don't think anyone in good conscious will recommend somewhere new and unfamiliar over that. I would definitely recommend saving a place like this after you know what to expect, how you'll react, how your wife will react, etc.
If you do decide to go, make sure you know the way back to your room really well, and make sure that you're not setting yourself up to do something dumb and oblivious like lose your room key. I'd suggest tripping during the day, maybe a few hours before sunset so you can watch it while basking in the after glow. Tripping at night is magical, but IME, it's easy to get lost in new places(at least just enough to cause you some anxiety), or like I said, do something oblivious like losing your room key - so if you do it, then I'd order room service, chill on one of those balconies, and set myself up to just kind of plant until after the peak when things get a little more lucid.

It would be better to have 1 person sober for your first time.

As Jokeshop said, set and setting are supremely important. I would definitely take his advice and do it in the comfort of your own home. Also maybe have the number of a friend who is more experienced with psychedelics that can come in for a quick assist if you guys have a bad trip.
You really don't want to be in a foreign country tripping your face off for the first time and have a bad trip, could end really, really poorly.

Thank you all so much for the good advice. I think i will do it at home and save that place for when i am a bit more experienced. I am pretty excited to try it out 😁 Thanks again.
