Question about PF jars colonization and temperature control

I'm doing my first grow. I chose the PF Tek.
Yesterday I inoculated 12 jars. So now I'm having doubts about the best way to let the jars colonize.
I did some search on this forum and I found this post from RR:
Quote:
Growth is much slower in cold temperatures until you hit 69F, where it speeds up quite a bit until about 75F, where it remains 'flat' until 81, then is flat again until 83, where it falls off fast beginning at 84. By 'flat' I mean there is no discernible increase or decrease in rate of growth within those ranges. Jars will colonize as fast at 75F as they will at 80F. I've proved this time and time again with every strain in my collection. Growth also falls off rapidly above 84, and this is why so many new folks have problems with incubators set at 86F, and jars that 'won't colonize'. The figures I give are substrate temperatures, not air temperatures. The temp inside the jar is 1 to 5 degrees higher than the surrounding air, depending on where in the colonization cycle the jar is. The heat produced falls off fast as the jar approaches full colonization.
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6563295#6563295
So this means I should keep the temps surrounding the jars somewhere between 70F and 78F?
Also right now it's winter where I live and my room temperature I can not keep above 64F.
What I did is I'm using my SAB to store the colonized jars. And underneath the SAB in a bottom shelf I have a space heater connected to a thermostat. The temperature probe is placed inside the SAB. Whenever the temperature inside the SAB is below 71.6F the space heater is turned on automatically and the temperature goes up. When the temperature reaches 75.2F the space heater is turned off. So the temperature inside the SAB where the colonized jars are stored, is kept at an average of 73.4F. Considering that the inside of the jars will probably be around 3F hotter, the substrate temperatures will be around 76.4F. Which according to RR is fine for the mycelium.
My main question is this: This setup with my SAB reminds me of incubators and a lot of people here do not recommend using an incubator. They advise to control the room temperature and not the jars itself. Problem is I will spend a lot of energy, and thus my energy bill will go up, if I try to maintain the ideal room temp with space heaters or oil heaters etc. So I would prefer to control the SAB temperature where the jars are in. Also I read RR saying that stale air is a problem with incubators. I figured since the SAB has 2 large holes some air is going in and out right? Also I can fan the SAB like once or twice a day.
So let me know what you guys think. Should I remove the jars from the SAB and just let them colonize at 64F room temperature? But that way it will take forever to colonize right?
Or is my setup fine and using the SAB the way I'm doing does not qualify as incubator?

You're probably fine. What you want to avoid is DIRECTLY heating jars. This creates massive temperature differentials that cause condensation that can be rather problematic.
Also, you could just let them colonize at 64. It'll be slower but not the end of the world.
And, Don't worry about stale are at this point. The holes in the sab will be absolutely fine.

Hey Verum
Ok I will keep this setup as it is since I am a bit impatient and don't want to wait for a slow colonization.
Thank you for your reply.

i’ll second that they’ll colonize fine. i’ve hard jars colonize at like 58-61 degrees & been totally OK. i wasn’t worried about timelines tho
i think it’s better to be patient than to try and rush the process, but if you’re really itching to get fruits you should be fine like verum said
